Noticed this deal when checking out the refurb TV's on Walmart's site. This is a recently released model and $298 new. Probably would order if I didn't just open up the 55" TCL series 4 refurb that was recently $249.99. I also just got a 65" Vizio E series for the living room and am happy with the overall picture quality.

This seems like a decent deal for a stopgap tv. I want to get 4K, but I'm sort of hesitant until to spend a lot of money with how much better the models are supposed to be this year.

I missed out on the one day sale at Best Buy for the V505-G9 when it was $249.99 in mid-December. Since then the lowest has been $280. This looks like it's almost the same TV as that model.

For a few bucks more get a non-refurb. For $250 to $325 you have many choices.

Are there any extended warranty programs that are worth it? I have never bought refurb. This will be for a bedroom tv. Thank you

Thanks OP! Pulled the trigger on this. With in store pickup I'm paying $222 out the door. All refurb items carry a minimum 90 day warranty @ Wal-Mart, so if bites the dust or doesn't work out you can return it to your local store for a full refund.

This will be replacing a 47" Vizio E series 1080p that was also purchased as a refurb from Wal-Mart back in 2014. The backlight on my old TV is starting to flicker, but I got a solid 5 years out of it which I consider to be pretty good. If I get 3+ years out of this Vizio I'll be happy.

Got one. Plastic bezel on left hand side is coming apart. Looks like maybe its warped. Anyone else with this issue? Thought maybe it would just snap back together but it won't hold.
