These are some of the sharpest lenses available for the APS-C emount cameras like the popular a6000. I recently picked up the 16 and 30 from Facebook for $500 and am really loving them so far. They are really sharp and autofocus performance has been good. Build quality is excellent. They are made in Japan. Manual focus is nice and smooth and even though it's focus by wire it feels like it's an old traditional focus ring. I'm liking the 16 a lot more than I thought I would. It's a larger lens but still feels really good. It's fun using a wide angle lens capable of pretty close focusing and shallow depth of field with nice creamy bokeh. The 30 is nice as well. It's larger than the Sony but it's also faster and cheaper but lacks image stabilization. I don't have the 56 but reviews have stated it's much sharper than the Sony 50 and even sharper than the $1000 Zeiss 55 1.8. It is more expensive than the Sony and again lacks image stabilization.

In short all of these lenses are great. Very sharp, good autofocus capabilities and f1.4 lets about 2/3 stop more light than equivalent lenses. They have a more shallow depth of field, which is good but can be dangerous you really have to be careful of the focus when shooting that wide. They also have nice creamy bokeh. They also have good build quality and are made in Japan. Negatives would be the lack of any kind of image stabilization which becomes more important with the 56 and especially if you shoot a lot of video.

There's a YouTube channel technologymafia that has a lot of good reviews and side by side comparisons of these lenses. The lowest price they have been then throw in a bonus memory card. Also shouldn't be any tax outside of NY and focus camera has been around awhile. They don't quite have the reputation of adorama or B&H but I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them.

As for the deal itself it's a really great deal on these lenses. The lowest they've been and with a bonus memory card. Focus camera is a reputable merchant and has been around for awhile. Not quite up to Adorama or B&H level but I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them.

Do they not autofocus?

I wish they make these for Canon... Would be a killer lens for astrophotography.

They do have autofocus. No image stabilization compared to equivalent Sony lenses though.

This isn't an issue if you have the a6500 since it has stabilization in the body. Also the short focal length for the 16 and 30 make it less important.

Im interested in the 16f1.4 for my four thirds camera. However, I arleady have the 12-40 f.28 olympus lens, would the Sigma 16mm f1.4 be a great compliment to my Olympus?

If you buy the Micro 4/3 version of the lens there's a small chance it'll fit on a Micro 4/3 camera.
