Was Front Page in December for $450. I don't think I've ever seen it in store for $399. It is same combo correct?

Same item as the one sold online, but priced less. Costco online is still $449.99

Came here to post this. 399 and it's definitely the same bundle. The price label has the asterisk, which from my understanding means it's basically a closeout item and they aren't getting more. Bought one myself, considering a second for work...

Is this sufficient enough to run Microsoft excel/ spreadsheets/ word and all the typical college work? Debating between getting this or the surface pro 6 that is on sale for 2 more days

Yes, it'll work for you, although 8GB of RAM would be preferable.

For most of the work that you'll perform on a tablet this size, 4GB is more than adequate. People are brainwashed into the idea that you need 8GB of RAM to run Windows. I still have a Dell Venue Pro 8 that runs Windows quite well with only 2GB of RAM. That was a rockin' piece of hardware! Also, I just got back from buying one and they only charged tax on the $399.

Just note that I believe this is a Costco exclusive that though it was the better 128GB of you're it also only had 4GB of RAM instead of the 8GB the normal upgraded 128GB model has.

Personally I'd opt for the 8GB of RAM version, but otherwise the fast 128GB of storage and type cover make this appealing.

Had this computer, except the 8gb version. Ran pretty well but battery life was just bad. Ended up returning. Will wait for version 2.

What's considered bad battery life? Is that with light web browser and office docs?

member only? Frown I'm not a costco member.

That's a good deal on it's own, the fact this is the 128GB SSD model rather than the 64GB EMMC model makes it even way sweeter!

Even adding on a costco membership @$60 just for this, it's still a decent deal. You'd essentially get the type cover+SSD for $60. $460 total, albeit plus tax.

Versus buying at MSRP at Best Buy, where it would be 499 for Go=Type Cover, and it'd still be the 64GB eMMC version.

I'm guessing the SSD can help a lot with the performance with the only 4GB RAM, too.

And all of that said, I'd still spend $800 for the bottom level i5 Surface Pro 6. I just wouldn't expend any significant money on this dead end CPU. If it was 350 for the whole package, it'd be worth a look. But I guess if you are already a costco member, then it's also worth a look at only $400. That isn't too much more than a base iPad, but you get full PC functionality. A weaker CPU, but double the RAM.
You can buy a membership, buy the tablet, then return the membership.

I dont recommend it, bc once you get a membership, most people typically dont keep it.
