Tempted to cancel my order for the lg 86 7560 from Costco ( seems no longer available from today) for the 85
But seems reviews of this not as good . Which of the 2 better ? Does this support Dolby vision ?
I would vote for the Sony 85 inches X850F. I had the LG 86 from Costco and returned it as I I was not satisfied with the picture quality and upscaling. I saw many demos of Sony 85 inches X850F at best buy and plan to buy in this price range once its further discounted at best buy in this price range.

Now the 86 is no longer available at Costco ans as per lg no longer being made , which makes decision tougher ... the big reason for me leaning towards lg was Dolby vision , atmos and the a7 processor...
I wish 900 price would fall to below 3500

Not sure how much difference Dolby vision on LG 86 will make vs the picture of the Sony 85 inch X850F TV. The Costco lg 86 keeps going and coming back. So wait for some time (week or 2) if you really want that.

I already ordered last week but can cancel. I was hoping it will go down in price so I can get the difference but I doubt will return. lG just marked it as discontinued (yesterday) same time Costco delisted it.

Thanks. I'll be sure to keep an eye out on the HT3550 once there are some reviews. I would prefer LED/Laser over bulb if I stay projector, but depending on the black level and and input lag this may be worth considering.

I can play with throw distance, but due to room shape I am limited in screen size. This is really why I am considering going for a TV as 80" TV's are now around the same cost as a 4k projector. The down side to a TV is I need to fab a low console, remove the projector screen & mount, re-wire audio, etc.

My theater room is above my garage and has sloped ceiling on both sides severely limiting wall real estate. I could maybe go up 5" if I went with a manual pull down screen, but that's about it. And I like the automatic as it lowers to cover the only window.
Sucks working around restrictions. Good luck figuring it out.

Got mine today. I might have an issue with the edgelighting not being even in the left and right corners. What's the best way to replace it? Call Sony, or buydig?

YMMV. Some retailers will do a refund instead of a replacement. Hope either rep accommodates you.

Tough call. I'd lean towards the 900F for higher brightness and local dimming though. FYI the 85" 850F is the only one in the lineup with VA panel so reviews of the smaller sizes are not really applicable.
I concur the brightness level is a night and day difference. Side by side it is a drastic difference. And brightness matters for Dolby Vision. You need that brightness to achieve that high contrast image.

I recommend contacting Buydig first. They may be able to send you a replacement unit that's brand new.

ANDROID TV is the OS and have not heard/read anything good about it. Still have a better chance at getting an update which will probably fix some of the short comings.

THE VIZIO OS is just SLOW and LAGGY!
Just curious, do a lot of people use the TVs OS? I never use mine.

This or Samsung NU8000 65"?
NU8000, better tv. Kind of falls between the Sony 850 and 900.
