This is the regular price in my local stores (as has been for years as I recall).

This light is always this price. I picked up a 10pk for $4.99 on the last SD post so this is not a slick price.

Also, the light is near useless for outdoor use. Maybe for kids playing. It is more useful to be seen by motorist if you walk at night.

Inside use would be a better option for say a power outage or to read a book.

This uses a coin cell battery.

The 10pk for $7.00 is a better option if you want to pick up a couple:

Very dim for outdoor use. I would say better than nothing and that is about it.

I had gotten a bunch of these a couple years ago at walmart when they were clearanced at 10 cents each, in Novi, MI. (the only walmart I ever saw them at for 10-cents, back in like early 2017)

They are ok for short tasks being done in dark areas. More of an emergency use light, to have on hand.
The units come with a plastic strip Between batteries and terminal,
to keep batteries DE-activated and unused. Just pull out the plastic tab and toggle ON/OFF button.

Pros - inexpensive.[initially]
- could be torn apart and a bigger light "could" be created [for any DIYer, hobbiests].
- Could be adapted from the 2, disc style, battery type CR2032 (watch batteries) with a AA or AAA battery sled like from someplace such as allelectronics.com
- a cheap source of Two CR2032 disc type batteries, for your wrist watches.
- cheap source of a single 3 LED module for DIY, hobbyist types
- Same CR2032 batteries are used in most Desktop computers as onboard CMOS
BATTERY.
- assorted colors (when I found them) were white, red, gray, blue.

Cons- CR2032 are not a long-lasting source of power and are a bit expensive.
- the band is a one size kinda fits all. The elasticity of the band loses strength after several uses.

I kept a few for my own source of watch batteries (and a spare desktop computer CMOS BATTERY) then donated most to a local salvation army thrift store.

Probably a decent emergency LED light, for a hunting kit or fishing tackle box.
