Target [store locator] offers New & Existing Verizon Wireless Postpaid Customers: an instant $450 Off Google Pixel 3 Verizon Smartphones when you activate in-store on a new or existing line via 24-month Device Payment Plan (info here). Thanks archero
See the previous Frontpage Deal here for answers to many common questions.
Select 'Reserve Device' for store pickup (inventory may vary by location)
Visit the location you selected for pickup to complete your purchase/activation in-store by no later than Sat 3/9/19 to get this offer.
You will also be charged a one-time $30 Activation Fee per device you purchase/activate (this fee will be added to/reflected later on your service bill from Verizon; not due at time of purchase/activation).
Sales tax on the device will due at time of activation in-store and will be based on device's full retail price without discount.
A credit check ("hard pull") is required for new customers opening a brand new Verizon postpaid account. Existing customers are not subject to a hard pull if upgrading or adding a new line to their Verizon account.
Your Pixel 3 / 3 XL phone (device payment plan) can be paid off in full at any time after 14 days of your date of activation (meaning you can completely pay off your device at the discounted price of $349.99 (Pixel 3) or $449.99 (Pixel 3 XL) before 24 months, if desired).
If you cancel service with or port out of Verizon at any time before paying off your device completely, you will be responsible for paying off any remaining balance still owed on the device (at the $349.99/$449.99 discounted price you agreed to); as well as charges for any amount of service days used (if applicable) on your final bill. The activation fee may also be added to/due on your final bill if cancelling service/porting-out.
This offer does not list/issue bill credits in the amount of $450 that are split up and applied over a 24 months period to receive the full discount on your Pixel purchase. The entire $450 discount is taken off upfront instantly upon activation in-store. However, be sure to verify with your representative in store before completing activation.
Verizon's postpaid service plans are no-contract [no Early Termination Fees (ETF's) or penalties] and may be cancelled at any time (see all plans).
Is the $450 deducted at the point of sale or is it spread out over 2 years?
Deducted at the point of sale. The amount might not show on the paperwork if you pre-order online, but it will be deducted in-store. It is treated as a "down payment" on the order, leaving you with net amount due of around $450 + tax. Tax is usually due at the time of sale. The balance will then be paid over the next 24 months as explained above.
Is Verizon offering any additional discounts?
Verizon is offering $300 in bill credits for upgrading or adding a new line. The $300 credit is spread over 24 months at $12.50 per month. If you close your account or otherwise terminate the line, you stop earning the credits. The only way to get the full $300 is to keep the line active for the full 24 months. Some people have chatted with Verizon to verify their purchase is eligible for the bill credits and saved the chat log for verification.
"Get $300 off. No trade-in required.
Up to $1,029.99 device payment purchase required. Less $300 promo credit applied to account over 24 mos; promo credit ends if eligibility requirements are no longer met; 0% APR."
Can I keep my existing plan?
Yes. Just make sure that option is selected during checkout at the store.
Pre-order paperwork is showing full price and a new plan
Don't worry. The discount and ability to keep new plan will show during in-store checkout. Just verify this on the screen as the rep is navigating the process.
Can I move the Pixel to another line on my account or take it off the account entirely?
Yes. The key to getting the full $300 in bill credits from Verizon is to keep the LINE active for 24 months. Many people have moved the PHONE to another line on the account (while putting the Pixel SIM in another phone). This is usually done when 1 line is eligible for an upgrade but the person actually wants to use the phone on another line.
What if I pre-order but can't pick up the phone until Sunday?
You will lose the deal. The transaction must be completed in-store by no later than Saturday, March 9th.
Is the phone unlocked?
The BOOTLOADER on the Verizon Pixel 3 is not unlocked and it can't be unlocked. If you're asking about a CARRIER unlock, then yes. Users have reported that it is unlocked for other carriers after initially activating it on their Verizon account. In fact, others have successfully ported out and used the Pixel on other carriers.
**The tech department (phone sales) at Target does not always have the same hours as the main store. In many locations, it is run by another company on behalf of Target. Some people showed up after 8pm during the last deal and the tech people had already left for the day.
