I'd not buy any flash storage on EBay unless it's a from a big-name store like Adorama or BestBuy. $7 difference is definitely not worth the risk of losing any data.

This is much faster than the Switch is capable of. A U1 card would work just as well but yes this will also work. And given the 10 years they are supposed to last, buying this one will mean you can use it in different devices if you choose to. If using for a dash cam or something that is exposed to extreme heat/cold or possibly moisture, then get the Sandisk Extreme version for $7.51 more here https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FCMK...ECb28C0TA2

No it isn't. The "high endurance" card is a whole other line of card meant for heavy writes (like a dash cam).

However, one popular dash cam site says that they have had great success with the A1 or A2 rated SanDisk cards. So is there an actual difference between them and the actual high endurance line they carry? Who knows?!?

Would these be fast enough to use in the Nintendo switch?

Is the Extreme version also high endurance? You probably want high endurance for a dash cam...

I dont see a need for such large capacity memory cards. What do you guys use them for?
I've been buying phones with MicroSD capabilities, so all my media like pictures, videos and music easily come with me whenever I get a new phone every other year or so. I am close to outgrowing the 128GB I have. I have all my pics on my phone since 2010 plus backed up on GDrive/Photos and home local backup, can't risk losing any.

The "high endurance" you speak of is just a term used by Samsung to describe these features. So yes, the Sandisk Extreme has the same features as the "Endurance" cards from Samsung. The link I provided is the link to the same card I buy and it works great

You may have a bad card and need to send back to Amazon. Sometimes their inventory gets mixed with the inventory of 3rd party sellers and you end up with a bad card. But that's why you buy from Amazon, because returning/exchanging is no problem. Try formatting the card first, or plugging it into another device and running a test on it. If it's still not working then send it back and get a new one
