great deal IF you want a VERY light computer. Lightest for 15.6" touchscreen. Not for heavy gamers. I have the previous model and extremely happy with it.

NOTE: Lg Gram 17" non touchscreen 2019 model is less than 3 pounds! ... will be more expensive.

Almost all non gaming computer on 15.6 are now 4k. Dell XPS is about 200 bucks more with 4k and 1050 Ti

I can't stand 4k screens on laptops, had an XPS and it drove me crazy because there are so many applications on Windows and Linux that don't properly support scaling. I do have the 14" LG Gram (2018 model) and the resolution is perfect without having to scale. This one would be slightly less ppi, but probably still good.

This is an ultrabook that aims at light weight and mobility. A stand alone graphic card won't make the numbers in Excel look any better...

I had this laptop before. Ignore all the bad comments. Once you go this light even MacBook feels to heavy now.. Oh just note that this lg gram does not have thunderbolt port. Only the configuration with 1TB drive has it

My wife and I both use LG Gram 15's. Best laptops we've ever had. Hers is the oldest one (first gen), and I will jump on this deal to upgrade hers now (faster CPU, touchscreen, more RAM and bigger HD). I think this is about the 4th or 5th gen of this laptop. Compared to every other laptop I've ever owned, this has hands down been the most reliable and trouble free. Totally noiseless, never gets hot, has NEVER crashed or locked up, travels all over the world effortlessly. Her previous machine was a high-end Lenovo Yoga, and its fan screamed like a banshee, and it had constant "time to reboot" issues. I just do not understand why LG gets so little love for this incredible feather-weight laptop. Can't think of a single thing I don't like about it.

FYI - Costco had this at the end of last year for $1249.99 online, so this isn't the lowest price Costco has sold this for. Could mean the price could be even lower next month.

the 17" is 2.95, so about 2.5 or so for 15 inch

egenesis - I think green_key was pointing out the weight of the Dell XPS, he knows the LG is light.

and he was correct, XPS 15" starts @ 4lbs.

https://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/d...550-laptop

One-of-a-kind design: Measuring in at a slim 11-17mm and starting at just 4 pounds (1.8 kg) with a solid state drive, the XPS 15 is one of the world's lightest 15-inch performance-class laptop.

Now just holding 2.5lbs and 4lbs is not much different, but carrying that around the entire day will be extremely noticeable.

True. I think I am going to go with Gram 17 since it is just 200 bucks more expensive and the resolution is plenty for Visual studio.
