Verizon Offering $250 Pre-paid Card When Activating New Line With Razer Phone 2

At the moment, Razer and Amazon have the Razer Phone 2 for $499 before tax, links are here:

Amazon - https://www.amazon.com/Razer-Phon...way&sr=8-2

Razer - https://www.razer.com/mobile/razer-phone-2

I found a post on Instagram and checked on Verizon's website that if you bring in an unlocked Razer Phone 2 and apply it to a new Verizon line, you'll receive a $250 Mastercard pre-paid card when using the promo code BYOD250. This would roughly bring the phone to about $300 after tax.

Very good deal/find OP, and repped!

Biggest catch is you have to port and existing number over to a new Verizon account to be eligible, but if that's the case, a great phone for essentially $250.

"Visit vzw.com/digitalrebatecenter to redeem offer by using promo code BYOD250. Receive a $250 Prepaid Mastercard® when you switch your number from any wireless carrier and activate your own 4G smartphone on a new Verizon postpaid line on an eligible plan between 1/10/19 – 3/31/19. Offer available on vzw.com only. Customer must submit for redemption within 30 days of activation and your device must remain activated for 45 consecutive days. We reserve the right to charge back the amount of the Prepaid Mastercard® Card if service is cancelled within 6 months. May not be combined with other promotional offers. Your $250 Prepaid Mastercard Card will be mailed via the U.S. Postal Service within 8 weeks after receipt of claim and will be mailed to the billing address on file with Verizon Wireless. This card is issued by SUNRISE BANKS N.A., Member FDIC, pursuant to a license from Mastercard International Incorporated. Mastercard is a registered trademark of Mastercard International Incorporated. Cards will not have cash access and can be used everywhere Mastercard debit cards are accepted. Activation fee/line: $30. IMPORTANT CONSUMER INFORMATION: Subject to VZW Agmts, Calling Plan & credit approval. Offers & coverage, varying by svc, not available everywhere; see vzw.com."

you should probably clean up your title and description though. i have no idea what the initial price is, where the discounts are coming from or what the final price is?

This looks to be BYOD250 offer and minimum 6 months service to avoid charge back.

Thanks for the quick responses, I'll clean up the title a bit and clarify what the deal actually is about. The original ads I saw it from had me confused and thought it may apply for current users as well as it wasn't clear initially.

I didn't see any post about this deal particularly but if there was, didn't mean to repost, thought that if a deal like this was around, should inform people since I was considering trading my phone in for an S10+ but would reconsider if I was eligible for this deal.

Razer did not charge me sales tax. amazon would have. Best Buy actually has the phone for $450 if you activate it with Verizon on their site, but they charge sales tax, and it does not look like you will get the $250 from Verizon if you activate it there vs the Verizon site. sales tax is 10% where I live, so I ordered from Razer, and hopefully will get the $250 by activating it on the Verizon site. have to pay $30 activation, and keep service there for six months.

I ordered my phone 3 days ago, it's arriving today. My current Verizon account is bloated and I'm going to take this in and ask if they can get me a better deal than what I'm on and then get the $250 card (If I stay with them and activate this phone).
