Stumbled across this deal looking for a new hard drive. I found similarly priced 1TB M.2 SSDs but they were all 600MB/s read speed. At 3,400MB/s This one is screaming fast.

Picked one up at the Westmont IL store and the sales guy thought that it was a pricing mistake but sold it to me anyway.

Regular price $389.99 SAVE $235.00 = $154.99 + tax.

You may not be able to find them online. Website says:
BUYING OPTIONS
OPTION #1 USUALLY SHIPS IN 5-7 BUSINESS DAYS. LIMITED AVAILABILITY. MAY NOT BE IN STOCK AT TIME OF ORDER. NO BACK ORDERS.
OPTION# 2 - Most Popular! GET IT NOW FROM A LOCAL STORE
Good luck.

Was able to place an online order. Could someone answer the question......

Will these just slide into an existing PCIe slot? And work? Or do I need a MOBO upgrade?

Based on this article, [pcworld.com] the drive is on part with 970 pro. It uses Sandisk's 3D TLC NAND.

Good price for TLC 1TB nvme drive.

this is an m.2 drive. it's a specific slot. that being said I'm using an m.2 nvme to pci-e adapter for one of mine as my Mobo only has one m.2 slot.

Hopefully it's still in stock because it's order-able. This whole thing from the OP is the sad part:

Pretty good. Tweaktown [tweaktown.com] say it's a rebrand of the 2nd gen WD Black. I've got one of those (but 500GB) in my Ultrabook and it's a good drive, although a little power-hungry.

This is a darn good price for it too. Cheaper than what I paid for the WD 500GB on release.

Your motherboard needs to have M.2 slot with M-Key, or you can buy M.2 to PCIe adapter.
