Fyi from a contractors side these are crap compared to the gen5 kits with hammer drills & the impacts with variable speed controller.

Nah, he should put RIDGID in the title. And the store too (though practically no one else sells Ridgid power tools, it's customary to say what store).

This literally could have been any manufacturer's line of 18 volt tools. Don't be coy about the brand, OP.

Sorry, new to posting deals. I'll make sure I post the brand / location in the title in the future.

Seems like a great deal if you are in the market for a solid set of brushless tools. The angle grinder and impact wrench aren't usually part of five tool kits and are generally higher priced tools. I paid $120 for my Milwaukee angle grinder for example and thought that was a good deal.

Picked it up at $249 last month. Nice set, lifetime warranty and batteries for life is hard to beat.

It doesn't say the model number of the impact driver in the add but I'm fairly certain it's the one that comes with the non-hammer drill for 160 and has 3 speeds. The only real difference I can see between the gen5 impact driver and this one is the LEDs around the sides. Are there other differences on the impact driver? I've been going back and forth for a couple weeks.

Wonder if and when their octane line will start having kits like this on sale? I know they don't have their entire line out yet but that's supposed to be better than the gen5 line correct?

Just received this in the mail today... according to the Q&A section on the website Ridgid responded to a question stating they were all Gen5x. I can post up the individual model numbers if need be.

Love their impact wrench. I bought the hammer drill and impact driver combo over the winter with bonus recip saw, and grabbed the wrench on ebay as a bare tool for cheap. lug nuts are no problem at all. I've used it to break loose several seized up brake nuts/bolts as well. Still kind of wish I had paid a little extra to get the milwaukee, but that is because of the bigger=better bug. Very happy with the ridgids.

I have the drills and the older impact wrench. The drill/driver is competent nothing crazy, works good. The Impact driver (3 speed brushless) is awesome, I hardly ever use my older ones, the 3 speed makes it useful for delicate work.

The impact wrench is awesome. It is more powerful then the air impact wrenches I have used. It removes lug nuts even after tire store puts them on, they make the crazy tight.

I would be very tempted on this but I already have most of them. I want the angle grinder and would like the brushless impact, but my old one works great, hard to justify upgrading.

Everything I read says that the rigid lifetime warranty on batteries is a scam and that any warranty service on these tools will be challenging. Just look at the comments posted here: https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&r...d5f4Wi1U6n
