Poorly written title, has $99 and $50 price for the item that is $99. Then as you keep reading the lesser version is described as $49.99. Ceates confusion as you initially read it and you need to click on the links to figure out what's what. And in the mobile app the title shows paperwhite for $50 when you are in main forum. Please correct this.

Battery life and type of display. This uses E ink so it's supposed to mimic real ink. A lot easier on the eyes. Battery life is substantially longer than a phones, lasting weeks not hours.

Phone display's are pretty bad for your eyes when it comes to reading long-term, especially if you read at night. The E-Ink display that Kindles utilize are better for your eyes and more akin to paper. Also, the battery life is weeks and months instead of "charge it every night" and a dedicated E-Reader can help some alleviate distractions that may come up when you are using a phone or tablet.

Dang it! I just ordered this yesterday with 25% off at $129.99. Plus trade in credit I had for sending in an old tablet. Should've waited 1 day.

If I recall, this went as low as $89.99 at one point, correct? I have been holding out but continually getting alerts at $99.99 so haven't jumped at it yet.

Thanks!

Has anyone taken advantage of this with a trade-in? I'd like to trade in my old kindle, but it looks like they don't give you the 25% off until they get the traded in kindle. Don't want to try that and miss out on this sale price.

What would be the advantage of getting this if someone already has a bigger phone? Let's say an iPhone XS Max. That has larger screen and higher resolution. Am I missing something? Genuinely curious

Buy this and sell your kindle locally, can get 90% of your money back on it. I been doing this for years. Plenty of old ladies upgrading and dont want to buy new

You can chat with a CS rep and ask them to apply the 25% discount for you even if the trade-in hasn't been completed. I provided the rep with the trade-in # (old kindle is still in transit), and he said the credit would be posted to my account within 5 business days.
