This is the B8 and has already been $999. Waiting for this to go lower or the C8 to be this price.

Not bad considering prices haven't dropped back down to last week's season low deals on the OLEDs but don't go with this one as it's sold by Gameliquidations.

Instead, go with the one shipped and sold by Newegg for the same price here:
https://m.newegg.com/products/N82E16889007663

Best Buy confirmed they will price match (just asked my local store) for those of you who prefer to buy from a B&M store and are concerned last weeks deals were possibly the lowest we'll see this season.

I'm still hopeful they'll keep dropping but with all deals ending at the same time and nothing new over the past 6-7 days, this may be appealing to some who don't want to risk waiting longer.

Open box also available shipped and sold from Newegg here:

EDIT:
9 days in and tv is dead. Watching Netflix and tv goes black and flashes a 1 inch white bar down the right side and turns off. Now, when I try and turn it on, same thing happens and I hear 2 clicks from the rear of the tv. Living room environment on tv stand, no heat or anything crowded around it.....no issues at all until it just died. First time I have had a tv crap out like this, let alone 9 days in. Beautiful tv while it worked, but I will not replace it............

Original post:
Bought this tv last Saturday night after price matching shipped and sold by Wal-Mart at Best buy for $1044.00 ($1100 after tax). Holy crap, I can tell you that this tv is amazing. Considered the TCL R series for awhile and could not pull the trigger even at the low price of $500 after comparing this tv to the TCL in the store....no problem jumping on this for 2X as much as the TCL! If you are curious on how good it will look in your home, go to best buy and ask them to stream Netflix.....you will see what it can do.

Nice, finally sold by NEWEGG that Best Buy would PM; however, I really want the C8 or E8. Anyone talk me in to getting this instead? I know the E8 has been $1200-$1300 recently.

I honestly cannot believe people consider led tvs better than Oled. I got my c8 and it's wonderful.
I was watching Hotel Transylvania 3 in 4K and it was unbelievable.

Can I get an extended warranty on the open box from Newegg? (Not a Costco member, paying with PayPal/Chase Freedom)

I hope so. I'm willing to pay a few hundred more for a "C" over the "B". Seems like the processor is better.

It's currently $1493 sold FROM Newegg(not 3rd party).

I'm having a hard time deciding on this OLED TV or a 65" NU8000 for $899. Any thoughts?

Squaredeal will issue an extended warranty as long as the TV is new and has been purchased in the last thirty days. Many credit cards will give you an additional one or two years of warranty on new televisions.

Confirm with Newegg that the set you are buying has a one-year manufacturers warranty.

It looks as though Newegg, as well as Gameliquidations are both listed as non-authorized dealers from this link, so warranty would be in doubt.
