This is a FYI for people who are interested in a CHEAP ($20 per month)Unlimited Plan through AT&T. The UConnect plan via the ZTE Mobley is back for a limited time. Currently, AT&T is sold out of the device (and its not certain if they will getting them back in stock). but you can still get the plan if you can come up with the ZTE Mobley device. You can still find a handful of the devices on eBay currently. The cool thing about the device is that people have figured out how to create adapters so the device can run off a wall outlet.

Per the wonderful website, RVmobileinternet.com you need to call a special ATT number to get the deal as it a special promotion. Below are the two numbers they listed on the website:

Primary Phone Number: 855-894-9945

Secondary Phone Number: 866-662-4548

HERE ARE LINKS TO THE RVMOBILEINTERNET SITE WHERE THEY DISCUSS WHAT THE MOBLEY IS AND HOW TO GET THIS DEAL:

https://www.rvmobileinternet.com/...-of-stock/

https://www.rvmobileinternet.com/...-campaign/

You can read about the device on several active forums too. Howard Forums is probably one of the best!

Still alive as of 4/15/2019. Added second line without issue on first call to the first number.

Success! The following process works very smoothly as of April 2:

Call this special promotion ATT number: 855-894-9945

If you already have the ZTE Mobley, have it ready and be prepared to provide the IMEI number to the phone representative. (If you don't have one yet, they can still be found NEW online on eBay, etc.)

When you call tell the representative that you want the UConnect plan for $20 per month (it's a Chrysler/Mopar promotional plan) and that you already have a Mobley.

Some users have reported that the AT&T phone representatives had a hard time finding the Uconnect plan in their computer system. If this happens to you, make sure the phone rep is searching for the "UConnect" plan. You can also mention that it is a Chrysler/Mopar promotion. If they still have trouble, hang up and call the same phone number again to get a different representative.

Once the phone tepesenative has found the UConnect plan in their syystem, they ask you for the IMEI of your new Mobley and get you set up with an ATT account and then they will send out the SIM card.

Once you receive the SIM card, you will have to call back to ATT to activate it (one user reported calling 866-895-1099 and said the system was all automated.). They will ask for the phone number associated with your Mobley (even though it it is a hotspot, AT&T still gives it a phone number... Not sure why?) and they ask for your SSN or your pin code.

Congratulations! You now have FAST Unlimited data from AT&T for $20 per month!

Based on what I have read , let me summarize it for all :

1) Buy ZTE Mobley from eBay
2) Call up the number mentioned in the Wiki and ask for UConnect plan
3) Be ready to provide the SSN and the IMEI number
4) Once the account is approved , ATT will ship the SIM card.
5) You can walk into ATT store and get a nano SIM card ( YMMV ? )

Pop the SIM into a hotspot / any other compatible device ( YMMV on the speed as many have reported that the speeds drop on non-motley device)

Anyway work around on (1) ??
I'm not sure if this will work. It didn't work for me, but I used a generated IMEI. The rep at att stated their system can see the IMEI doesnt match the device I had the sim in, my nighthawk. I'm wondering if I should buy a Mobley and try again with a legit IMEI

Other than the Nighthawk, what other devices are people successfully using with this plan? And what are the speeds that you are getting (plus any feedback you may have about the device)?

Yup that has worked for many people... unless the cancel it for in store verification. Then you are screwed. And I've called in to the original number many times since and they are telling me now I can have just a Mobley line. I'd have to have a phone line or existing account to add it too

The velocity 1 or 2 or the unite explore all work good and cheaper

For those of you experiencing the issues with 'Fraud Check Failure', as I did... It is, without a shadow of a doubt, a pain to deal with. My experiences with it had me frustrated beyond belief. I went into the store to 'Confirm my identity', but the store couldn't see any flags on my account. Moreover, they couldn't find the 'discounted' service (which we all know has to be ordered online). I called Customer Service with the sales rep in front of me; however, I was sent through a run-around for about 20 minutes before saying it wasn't worth the trouble... Left, called the number in the Wiki again and went through the order process again. Took me about 2-2.5 hrs total to get through everything (first order, store, second order), but I finally found someone that was willing to put notes all over my account to get it moving forward.

I stopped at a corporate store and purchased a Nano-SIM card outright ($5.35). It was an expense, but it also gave me a Nano SIM to activate when the time came. The Micro will fit into my device, but I've got plenty of adapters to step-up the size if needed.

My Micro SIM (shipped from AT&T) is scheduled for delivery tomorrow; however, I activated online yesterday (as I have the phone number associated with the service). Contacted Customer Service via the myAT&T App's Chat Support and requested they activate the ICCID of my Nano SIM. They processed the change and asked me to reboot the device. Gave it about 30 minutes and started it up... Good to go.

Using a Netgear AirCard 815S Hotspot. Testing at home, I'm getting ~ 3 mbps downstream (which is, sadly, pretty good for my area... And the same speeds I was receiving on my phone when I had AT&T service here); however, my primary usage areas will be closer to Downtown Atlanta (speeds will likely increase, I believe I peaked on my phone ~ 80 mbps a little over a year ago via the SpeedTest.net app). Reviewing my 'likely' first bill, it looks like it'll come out to ~ $28.63. Considering my last stand-alone Hotspot was ~ $52 a month, and it had a cap of 5 GB/month, I think I'm still coming out on top. Maybe they'll remove some of the extra fees since it's a data-only device; we'll see...

Thank you, OP. I'm adding Rep next...
Thanks for sharing your experience. I am glad to hear your persistence paid off.

Regarding your download speeds, I would suggest looking into getting an antenna. From what I've gathered, an omni-directional antenna is much easier and cheaper to set up and good for when you are driving. A directional antenna is more expensive but more effective in boosting speeds. It might be nice to have both but I'd look into them at the least. To find where your nearest cell towers are located, use this link and then click on "map" to find your location: https://www.cellmapper.net/map?MC...0&type=LTE

Tested speeds about 3 miles away. ~ 20 mbps downstream. Again, that's decent for AT&T in my area. I'm using it more for connectivity for my upcoming trip to Florida as well as day to day basic internet for connectivity while on job sites. However, I may look into the external antennas for it down the road.

So are you guys completely replacing your home WiFi with this plan? Streaming, phones, laptops and smart home devices? I've got a lot of smart plugs and bulbs kickin.

What do you guys think would happen if a buddy of mine gave me his IMEI to activate? Think any issues?

Is his Mobley currently/recently in use?

Your issues with coming in to the store may also have related to the credit check detecting something that it considered "fishy". See post #644 from Who-m3 for details about how he worked around the credit check issue.

Interesting about the validation of ID.

As for the Mobley, he's not using it now but I'm sure he will. He's also talking about selling it, as he sees how much they go for. He's a friend, but won't really give me a deal on it.

Think the system will allow the IMEI to be used on 2 separate devices? Think it cares about the IMEI?

Replacing WIFI yes and no. Were i live a hard line or cable is not an option. So yes this runs my whole house. My slow connection is 60 but usually run closer to 100mb down and 30 up. The tower is only a half mile from my house here. Running Nighthawk hooked up to TP-link 5400x router

There likely wont be a problem with using the Imei because as soon an you put sim into another device it changes online.
