I have this thermostat and same issue. You can go into the secret service menu(look on youtube) and change the frequency at which it turns on. Basically wants you to set for boiler/normal furnace/high efficiency furnace ect.. but it's really how many times per hr it will kick on. I have high efficiency so it wants you to set 5 which ends up turning off then right back on. I set it to 2 or 3 instead works good now(2 or 3 deg swing instead of less than 1 lol). Had this same issue in my old house with similar model honeywell and older furnace, changing service menu to lower number fixes the issue with the AC also

I have this thermostat.
For a non-connected programmable this is all you need. Simple and works well.

Awesome deal at $10. Had one since 2013. Very dependable. Easy to program. Shows current temp and time. Easy on batteries about every 2 years and that's all. Just bought another for additional floor of house to replace a different unit. Thanks OP!!

Is it easy to self install?

Yes. Instructions are OK. I used good old YouTube to help me out for some reference. I'm no handyman but had no problem. Just look at your current wiring on your present therm when you remove the front plate, label the 3 or 4 wires as to how they're currently connected on back and then match to same on the new thermostat color ports. Just make sure you turn off power for your HVAC at your circuit breaker before doing, just to be safe.

Nice! Just in time. I was just about to buy the RTH221B from Amazon for $19. This is a better deal and a similar product. Just need a simple thermostat to replace my analog millivolt one.

Anyone else having issues with pickup in store not available?

Nevermind. Said it was unavailable for pick but was added but was still able to add to cart and check out. Must have been a weird glitch.

I'm guessing this would not work for a single room baseboard heater thermostat replacement.

Does anyone know for sure?

Compatible with systems
This thermostat is compatible with heating/cooling systems, plus heat pumps without auxiliary heat.
It is not compatible with heat pump systems with backup heat multi-stage heating/cooling systems or electric baseboard heat (120/240V).

No auxiliary heat is a deal breaker for most with heat pump.
