If you are getting a fire tablet mainly for echo show functionality, I wouldn't recommend it. Echo show has a better speaker so it sounds better and it has a mic array whereas a fire tablet has just one mic on the side of the tablet, so it is not as sensitive or omnidirectional as an echo show. Plus you would probably want to get a show stand for a tablet which costs extra.

I realized you can use this just like an Amazon Echo Show. They both have a 10.1" screen but the Fire HD tablet has a higher resolution (1920 X 1200) than the Show (1280 X 800). Get this tablet and save $130 compared to the Show with identical functionality.Cheer4

I'm certain the speaker of the show is better but this comes with a case that also functions as a stand, so no need to buy another. I just threw out the comparison with the show to offer a possible different use of this tablet in addition to the traditional functions. It's all good.

If you're a first time HSN buyer, WELCOME10 may give you $10 off on the site or it may only apply if ordering through the app.

NEW2019 does work for new customers, $10 dollars off if the above does not.

Yes, Welcome10 doesn't apply to this item. Neither does the 15% code in the Welcome email.

"After you have registered your device, you may opt out of these special offers through your settings for a one-time fee."

Looks like it has Special Offers, but I was in the market for one for my dad and the price is right. Thx and repx4!

It's the latest version from Amazon selling for $149.99.

Here's the lising on Amazon for this tablet :

Amazon's listing does not include a case or SD card.

Cheapest I have seen these was a two pack of tablets at Christmas time. They included a voucher for a free case but did not include a micro SD card.

I paid $80/piece - that was after $10 off and CB earnings.
