Depends on the usage. I have two 18" deep ones along one side of the garage and I have to strategically park to be able to still open my door and get out of the vehicle. Unlike many folks, I can still fit both of my cars in my garage, along with tools, chemicals and air compressor.

With this 12" deep unit, I might be able to actually -add- storage and still retain most of the above.

Yours is actually about 2x as big. 12" is extremely shallow for a shelving unit.

Agreed. I own both the black and grey models, and the grey model has fallen apart within a couple years of owning it.

Little bit bigger one (same height) -- 60" x 36" x 18" -- at Menards for $37 (was $33 last week after rebate during 11% rebate, and will be again the next time).

https://www.menards.com/main/stor...333455.htm

Edit: only 4 shelves. Still 800 lbs/shelf.

These are great shelves, but the grey model is junk. Make sure you get the black model!

That one looks better, but no Menard's is only in the Midwest it seems... nothing on the east coast, west coast or the south.

It *MAY* suck. I agree in general for utility storage that's a shallow depth, but if it's what you need for a given location then it's awesome.
