I'd say go with the Lenovo 2070 if you are already going to spend that much. It's been getting great reviews.

Nope, 2060 laptop is quite a lot worse than 1070 in most games and even the best 1070 laptop is no match for a 1080 max q. Also a 2080 laptop is worse than a 1080 laptop in 1080p

Any laptops in this class with 144hz QHD? Seems like that would suit the GPU better.

I went for the base model Y740 2060. The max q 2070 was pretty much the same in the tests I saw. Great price with the ID dot me discount

Also, WTF is up with the keyboard placement on this thing?

RIP us left-handers. It's like they purposely want to leave 10% of potential customers on the table. Oh well.

EDIT: I'm referring to the placement of the trackpad on the far right.

12 New Units in Stock at the time of posting.
Just a note that that's not what 12 new units means on the page - that means the amount of sellers on the listing, not the in stock amount.

Did Asus fix the Bios problem with bricking the laptop? Many reviewers mention it.

They are rare amongst the mainstream manufacturers but you'll easily find QHD 120 Hz w/wo GSYNC on Alienware regular 17 inch models. You can take a look at them on the Alienware website. Sometimes, you may find them on BestBuy but they are rare

That was a concern of mine as well, however, I am just turning off any auto Bios Update for the time being to get around that issue.

Last I heard they are working on it.

Yeah, but what does 10% of the already 1/10,000ths of the whole pie even mean to a company this large anyways. The market segment for this style of laptop is already abysmally small.
In fact, you could probably count all the people up on your left hand who would have bought this had it been centered up to begin with. These things were closer to 3 grand when they came out.
