Decent deal. Should get more love than last time. Has been $699 in past @newegg.

Gtx 1050 not even gtx 1050ti at this price point ?... A hard pass from me.
HP will have their 8th gen cpu + gtx 1050ti laptop price dropped soon, I will wait for that one

CPU is a great one but often upgradeable... the video card on this... not good at all and those are rarely upgradeable.
Thanks for posting but a pass from me.
This WILL play most games at an OK frame rate but nothing I'd want to venture with.

To compare this, Costco used to have a black friday $950 Y7000 with a 1060.
So basically if you want more gpu power then the extra $150 is just like choosing to buy a $250 1060 instead of a $100 1050.
I heard a lot of Y7000 problems such as glowing but when I was using it it was fine so I guess Lenovo has bad quality control.
There was a elite slickdealer who found a 7700hq 1070 laptop for $800 but that was extreme ymmv.
