How does this compare to the Corsair Vengeance LPX non pro version. I'm just looking for the most reliable and slick deal on Memory without all of the fancy LEDs etc. So does this pro version have better components? Or just the lighting? I know to go with CL 14 3200 for intel CPUs.

its just the rgb. It goes better rgb > rgb > no rgb. Thats the pro > nonpro > lpx stuff.
Also kits are obviously not identical... look at the timings and speeds but all these 3 lineups have very similar kits less the rgb stuff.

I bought the 3200 last time and it's beautiful bright rgb

The only problem is software issue with putting pc to sleep , the rgb doesn't turn off so you have to shutdown your pc or turn rgb off hopefully they have software update to fix it

Been gaming with this for about 6 months now and love it. OC'd to 3200 on stock voltage, so it's fairly easy to get some extra performance if you're not comfortable doing overclocking. Looks great also.

Isn't the adata deal at Rakuten better? Although I'm not crazy about the looks, I decided to go with the D80 RGB liquid cooled memory for just $90 compared to this.

I got this for my new build last month. Seems to work great.

The lighting wasn't what I expecting as it is NOT aura sync compatible but Cue software does work. It did not claim to be aura sync compatible so I won't knock it, just an FYI.

Paid $140, literally 1 month ago. RAM is great, very fast. iCue is pretty intuitive too, so its easy to play with settings. Not a WHOLE lot of animations, but enough to keep you satisfied with your RGB setup.

While I know its a MOBO setting most likely, RAM does stay lit and animating when your computer goes to sleep. I think there are a few links on how to change settings in BIOS, I just deal with it, or shutdown the computer completely, which turns it off.

What are considered good timings?

Never thought in a million years I would fall for the RGB xxx fandom...
Then I got these and I'm hooked.

At 3000C16 this is an awful deal. If you buy this you lose. I bought 3200C15 (15-15-15-35) a couple of months ago for about $12 more. Samsung b die obviously. No other brand could achieve such timing.

Mine do not have rgb but I could care less as they are entirely buried down under the cpu cooler (D15).
