previous FP deal back in stock, but this time it's an add-on item:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...0DER&psc=1

Effective against the Yellow Fever Mosquito, which can transmit the Zika Virus; 4-ounce lotion
Reviewed by Consumer Reports as the Fisherman's Formula in its list of safe and effective insect repellents (February 2016)
Long-lasting topical insect repellent with 20 percent Picaridin -- more effective at repelling biting flies than DEET
Lotion is effective up to 14 hours against mosquitoes and ticks; up to 8 hours against biting flies, gnats, chiggers, and sand flies
Safe to use on the whole family; won't harm clothing, backpacks, fishing line, firearm finishes, watches, sunglasses, or other synthetic fabrics; color of bottle may vary.

This rated 4 out of 100 on consumerreports - they are saying it doesn't work at all "Poor performance at repelling mosquitoes. Claims to protect against ticks. Lotion with no aroma or residual skinfeel upon application." So maybe it works for ticks ok. Has anyone used this and can recommend? Ty

I've used this brand's Picardin spray, not the lotion, seemed very effective.

You left off ticks which is the main reason that I use picaridin. I have a new phobia of the Lone Star tick and becoming allergic to meat.

This is a necessity for hammockers- DEET dissolves and/or weakens many hammocks made with synthetic fabrics. Thanks OP!

I used this lotion in the jungles of Costa Rica and at home in Fl. Works great, no stink, and can be mixed with sunscreen.

I don't get the bad reports at all?

I don't think you're looking at the right concentration. This is 20% and it works almost as well as DEET but the spray is better. I work in Haiti.
