Yeah I'm not flying Southwest until they figure out the Boeing 737 issue.

Same here. I just booked Jetblue instead. The software update for these Boeing 737's are estimated to be rolled out in April. While nobody knows for certain yet, I'm not taking any chances.

The issue is only with the max 8 variant and you can see what aircraft the flight uses on Southwest and flightaware. Based on what I read carribean air is the only carrier to ground the max aircrafts, united (max 9) and American and Southwest are all still flying them as well and international carriers.

Planes grounded: Some countries — including the UK, China and Australia — and airlines are grounding Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft following a deadly Sunday crash in Ethiopia.

It's all over the news. Not sure where you are getting your info about Caribbean Air being the only one??

https://www.wsj.com/articles/grou...1552372423

"About 40% of the global fleet of 737 MAX planes is now parked"

Sure, you can see the projected aircraft for your flight at booking, but that can be changed at any time.

pretty misleading as most of the airports don't have any $49 fares... $49 seems very limited

Probably an intro fare when that route first started.
