These have been priced at $199 for awhile now. I have been watching them at my local store for probably the last few months. If they would drop near or below $100 I would probably be all over it.

Good to know. Yeah I'm hoping they drop further like the hedge trimmers. Just started noticing my HDs updated price tags with yellow clearance as they've been $299 for a while.

If you already have Milwaukee tools and needed a weed eater I would say jump on it at $199. It is a pretty heavy duty battery and it comes highly rated. If you don't have Milwaukee tools and/or have yard tools with another battery system it just isn't quite there yet on price.

Yes, this is the "old" Milwaukee trimmer without the Quik Loc system. Most Home Depot's now have the old trimmer priced at $199 and the new one at $329. You would just have to decide if the roughly $100 savings is worth not being able to attach different tools onto this M18 Fuel motor. In my case, I'd rather wait for a sale on the $329 as I can then make the unit a hedge trimmer as well with their attachment.

I got this trimmer and the hedge trimmer a while ago and both are excellent. The string trimmer is just as powerful as a gas one and the hedge trimmer is just as powerful as a corded one.

Just picked one up at my local HD. They were also able to price match Rural King who has it listed for $169. Brickseek showed accurate results for my area. All the boxes were marked clearance at $199. Thanks!
