Hmm sounds like my 50h6C that I just sold on Craigslist. I'm kicking myself. I wanted to upgrade to a 55 but now that I sold the Hisense I can't find a 55 that matches it's picture quality. All the newer hisense are crap compared to it. I very tried 3 TVS now and they all have inaccurate colors. The 50H6C was the best TV I ever owned. This one listed hear sounds a lot like it. App store was crap and a tad slow but the Netflix and YouTube worked great. But the picture quality was spot on. Wish there was a 55 of this model.

FYI, looks like this was $220 just last month. Check out those threads (1,2) for more discussion.

Wow this is the exact thing that happened to me. Had an early Hisense and it was awesome. Sold it to a friend bought a bigger one and it's not near as good.

The lesson being never sell your TV until you find a replacement you're happy with haha

I mean... if you're concerned about picture quality you probably shouldn't be upgrading to a new Hisense... 250 ain't a bad price for a new 49" tho.

Bought this or a similar HiSense model last year. Held up for about a year. Now the T-Con board is dying. Known problem for this brand. Despite 1 year warranty, I can't seem to get Hisense to fix it. First, they require you to email a receipt to prove purchcase., but their email box is too full to accept emails. And they won't accept images in email by default, you have to call to arrange it.

Now they've farmed me out to a local TV repair guy who called me a week late, and refuses to come to my house to fix the TV after 5 or on weekends. (I'm at work till then everyday).

Only buy this TV if you're looking for a TV to last 1 year or less.

For hisense I really think this should be sub 200. Throwaway tv at best. Won't last more than a year.

If you're in the market for something like this and in this price range, I'd recommend the 49" TCL set I bought at Sam's Club. Its 4k, HDR, has roku built in with the simple Roku remote and you can add their 4 year squaretrade warranty for $29.

I've had it ~3 weeks now at my dads place and the PQ is pretty decent. Most review complaints had to do with damage during shipping, but I just tossed it in the SUV and brought it home. By the PQ is decent comment, my daily driver is a Sony XBR65x850 and the TCL isn't bad by comparison.

This says $269 but it was 260 in store for me, Best buy and amazon have it for 279 and 288. Most sites have it at 4* or 5* reviews.

Roku capabilities >>>> Hisense smart platform (whatever that is), 5 years total warranty and a dang nice picture quality. Sound from the internal speakers is even decent, the lady that lives in the apt next door complained about it being too loud twice already...

I have this tv. It's a great tv but sometimes the internet disconnects and I can't use the mobile Roku app to control the tv when I'm lazy lol. Picture is good, sounds is the usual on these thin tv's.

Does this have a Android TV as the smart platform or Roku?

Looks like this was posted as $220 at Walmart at one point from searching for it on SD for prior posts on the same TV.
