Had some of these over the last few half marathons I did. The Mocha is pretty good. The consistency is an acquired taste (acquired sense? feel?), but overall pretty good!

Things like these are silly. Do a shot of black coffee and thats it. Adding 100 calories of sugar to your body before a workout negates the reason you are working out. That is unless you are looking to bulk then whatever
Wow, just wow

I usually don't hit one of these untill at least 30 miles out but have had plenty of rides where I start dragging and these pick me up. Saved my ass at 75 /100 miles.

Only complaint is that these are thick, but they do taste pretty good. I like that the tab is attached to the bottom so they don't fly off while biking.

I keep one in the door of my car in case I start to get drowsy.

Good deal. These taste good, and the consistency is more solid (like pudding) than gu or hammer gels
Clif Bars taste good but resemble cow patties.
I just hope this does not resemble D....in a glass !!!Mad

Well that's stupid. If you're weight lifting in any form of way, it's better to have a surplus of calories rather than neutral or worse, less calories than usual.

Blue razz has no caffeine, hmmm. Very strongly considering these, I have a stock pile of iso pure and c4 stuff but nothing I really use during. I tried the Gatorade energy gels before, are these very similar?

I make my own energy drink with maltodextrin and dextrose, the ingredients in Gu gel. It's VERY helpful sustaining energy when I play basketball a couple times a week for up to 2.5 hours with short brakes between games. Compared to how most others lag at the end, it's almost like taking a PED. 😁

Technically it IS a PED. A performance-enhancing drug is a substance that improves any kind of physical performance.

These things give you a LOT more energy than coffee. You obviously never used one before a physical activity.

Doesn't a performance enhancing drug have to be a drug of some sort? Using that broad definition, Gatorade would be considered a PED.

I can burn these pretty quick on my daily 30mile+ bike ride, especially when I begin to BONK.

I love carrying a shot of hot coffee on my bike for when my legs are bonking out.

Agreed, these things can save your butt. I recently forgot mine on a long trail ride, and about 10 miles in, I bonked on a long climb. I had to finish the ride (it was a loop) but I was walking all the climbs. It sucked big time.

It really depends on what you are doing, the average american doesn't really need a shot of pure sugar for most athletic activities. Some of these posts are kind of nuts.

ISO pure and C4 have little to no sugar, which is kind of the point, if you want results that involve less body fat than you have now, ensuring that you are pumped full of carbs while exercising is probably not a great way to achieve that goal.

I've never seen these downed in crossfit games or basketball games, I suspect the average duration just isn't long enough to really need them. i've never seen runners bother unless their running more than a couple hours. You really need to be at a high level of intensity to want to sidetrack fat burning, in addition to duration.
