I just picked this up the other day almost half off...gets good reviews for a low end guitar!

you'd be better off saving up a bit and buying real brand name guitar

I got one of these as an extra guitar to keep at my parents house so I wouldn't have to travel with my own. I went down to my local guitar shop in HI, and the owner recommended this: I was sceptical, as it looked like one of those Chinese budget brands that focuses only on cosmetics, but I was very pleasantly surprised by its quality and tone. Very playable neck, beautiful cosmetically, if you like a more matte natural wood look, and rich dry sound, but not so resonant that it doesn't strum well. For a beater acoustic, I think this is one of the best choices.

Any reason to get this over the fender CD-60S that usually goes on sale for under $110?

Eh, but you probably would be better off picking up a used Yamaha for less
