Milwaukee M12 - Two 3.0Ah Compact Batteries & Charger Kit - $99 - Home Depot

Just saw these in stores as a "Special Buy", which will probably only last until the display box's stock runs out... Didn't know they had 3.0Ah batteries in compact, in-grip size/style, but I much prefer them over the larger 3.0, 4.0, and 6.0s that hang off the grip. Don't recall ever seeing this good of deal on two of the compact 2.0Ah batteries and a charger over the past two years.

Seems like a decent deal, considering that just one of the 3.0 batteries goes for $70. $33 for another charger, and $33 for each battery seems like a pretty solid deal to me; I picked them up to go with the women's M12 heated vest deal from last week.

Hope this helps!

I don't know much. Is this for M12 Fuel version tools? Or is it for their non-Fuel regular tools?

Milwaukee M12 and M18 batteries will work with corresponding Fuel or non-Fuel version tools.

I would say it was a good deal if it wasnt for the fact they sell for about $100-120 on ebay 24/7....

I don't have any Milwaukee tools but I would like start buying the M12 Fuel lines.
Is this a good start? I want to do it the right way.

Your friend has shared a link to a Home Depot product they think you would be interested in seeing.

This below set:

M12 FUEL 12-Volt Li-Ion Brushless Cordless Hammer Drill and Impact Driver Combo Kit (2-Tool)W/ Free M12 Multi-Tool

It's been that promo price for awhile. I bought a set with the multitool. The multitool is not the fuel line model though if it matters to you.

I like the set though. I was upgrading from a many years old craftsman drill, so the added oomph was a nice surprise.

There's also other combinations for the m12 fuel set:

If comparing this deal with now-expired https://slickdeals.net/f/12531910-milwaukee-m12-12-volt-li-ion-cordless-5-tool-combo-kit-189-free-shipping?src=SiteSearch , which came with 3 such batteries/charger, 5 tools for $89 more - not a great deal.

M12 are a great, lightweight line of tools with plenty of power. That being said, you can usually pick up a tool + charger and batt for around this price and sometimes 2 tools. So anyone who doesn't explicitly need 2 more bats and a spare charger, stick to the combo deals that come with tools. I've amassed something like 4x batts are 2 chargers buying the combos. Also the batts take about 20 min to charge and last a lot longer than they take to charge so you probably don't need to stockpile them.

If you want Fuel tools, wait for next quarter where they will likely repeat the free 6Ah packs with Fuel kits deal that they had last spring.

these are twice the capacity of the batteries in the deal you linked.

I have 2 of these for the heated gear but I got them on ebay for <$40 each. Hated switching the batteries out so often. Might be worthwhile if you're a contractor but battery life usually isn't much of an issue for home use.

You are right - these are 2x the capacity (although it is close - two 3.0 vs three 1.5). Still, with the tools seems like a better deal - and the price for this kit is the same in Acmetools: https://www.acmetools.com/shop/to...8-11-2432p

Maybe it's just my impression, but generally getting a Milwaukee tool / battery / charger or better yet, a tool combo gets a much better price than buying batteries separately.
