Wearever Low VOC Brake Parts Cleaner [advanceautoparts.com] $2.34 (50% off) @ Advance Auto Parts.

Saw these on a pallet in store and their web price confirms it. Might be clearance?

I can't zoom in on the app. Is the in-store bogo free deal cheaper than the online price?

Brake Cleaner $28.65/case

Says BOGO, but online it lists the cans @ 50% off so you shouldn't have to buy an entire case. Given the relative "unprofessional" appearance of the pallet I assumed this was a clearance item which also means it's likely YMMV.

Store sign says "BOGO" or "$28.65/case". That works out to $2.39/ea (12 cans/case), the app says $2.34/ea. So it's not really BOGO - yes you can get 2 for the price of 1 but the app clearly gives the single can price so you shouldn't have to buy multiples to get that price.

This stuff is worth having around as a general degreaser, and depending on the job, you tend to go through a lot of it since it's basically a part rinse.

Isn't Walmart's SuperTech Brake Parts Cleaner $1.97 everyday?

This is low VOC (and one even says non flammable) if that matters to you; WM version is standard cleaner

Never use brake parts cleaner since the day I started driving. I just a use a used toothbrush along with a soft metal bristle brush to clean and wipe with a towel.

So how to you get rid of the oil/cosmoline that is applied to rotors to prevent rusting? You don't with a towel or brush.

Then all the harmful brake dust is airborn and its still does not remove the oil that is on the new brake rotors from the factory. Not recommended

I've always used carb cleaner for that, which also works to clean lots of other stuff too.
