It is on fp because it is a great price for the item, is a quality item, and because it got votes. A similar deal (for more money) got +115 on fp, so I decided to give this one a try. Simple as that. Can you find it for less?

I dont get paid to make ANY post. I don't get commission from ANY post. I post for just about any major store you can think of. All of them. I post deals I like, deals I think other people will like, deals that are a quality item, for a good price, from a good store.

Thanks for all the posts! I think SD should consider some way for people like you to monetize that contribution.

Sweet of you to say but, sadly I think that would inevitably skew even the most prudent of deal posters. For example, I found this deal without a coupon...but I sought out a coupon in hopes of making it less for people (and fortunately I found oneSmilie). But if an individual was monetizing, I would imagine that one might not go to that additional effort. Because I am not 'bought' or paid for posts, I get to post what I want, when I want Big Grin

LOL...I love all these comments that people think the only reason people buy nice quality things is to impress others..
That is so false

The other thing is that a luxury item can be a good price as well and worthy of a slick deals post
If these shoes regularly sell for much more..then this is a slick deal

People that want luxury items will pay less as well if they can and its a product they want

Bullcrap. If these were specially made Louboutins without the red sole you would all pass.

I agree that I can't see myself paying that much for shoes personally. I'd probably have to be making like 6 figures and even then I don't think I'd be able to bring myself to do it unless it were for my wedding or something. That being said, for me it's hard to judge others for spending so much on something like that while typing on a 600$ phone (and I'm poor). Like to each her/his own. If wearing shoes like this, whether for their own personal preference or for showing off to others, makes that person happy and brings value to her life or a mans partners life, who are we to judge what they do with their hard earned money? I saw a lego set once (not for kids) on here that was like twice as costly as these that I said something along the same lines about....like if someone gains genuine joy from dropping nearly a grand on the nostalgia from building and displaying some Star Wars themed legos, who is anyone else to tell them it isn't worth it? It might not be to us but if it is to them and their finances are otherwise stable then how's that hurting anyone? Almost everyone has something that is far more expensive than the cheapest alternative, so live and let live.
Well stated. But if you're "poor" and typing on a $600 phone, I highly recommend you set a deal alert for Huawei Mate 20 Lite, or Honor 8X phones. They feel like $600 phones with all metal build, decent cameras, good battery and plenty of RAM (4 GB), but can regularly be had for under $200 (:

Sorry Ladies, you can't impress me with these. They look like every other pointy heel shoe in the universe. Besides, dont the good folks of SD prefer ladies that save money, not spend too much? If you're going to be silly about generic looking shoes, go all out and insist on paying full price.
i'm absolutely positive that not a single woman who will buy those will be doing to so impress you.

Expensive men's dress shoes make sense because you wear them for years, multiple days a week, they can be re-soled, etc etc, but expensive women's shoes always puzzled me seeing as women tend to get judged if they wear the same stuff several times, sometimes even more than once.
couldn't be more incorrect. Having many pairs of shoes is a choice. I have a number of pairs of expensive boots that i've worn for years and they're still in perfect shape. By the time they will need to be resoled i'll just buy new but that's probably good 10 years away.

I don't know the first thing about women's shoes, let alone this brand in particular. But sometimes there's an argument to be made for spending good money on things, especially footwear, provided you get value in return. Price paid is only one side of the equation - you have to think about what your money is buying.

Good shoes are worth the money to me. Personally, I'd never drop $700 on a pair, but if a men's shoe that delivers $700 worth of quality came along for under $400, I could be tempted. On the other hand, if full price is $50 for the quality and $650 for the name, then obviously I'm not buying even at half price. I don't care who the designer is; it's all about what you're giving me for my money.

So if these are just overpriced crap, then I agree it's not much of a deal. But if these are legitimately good shoes, then they're just as worthy of a FP spot as the six video cards that show up every day.

While I have no interest in these shoes personally, it's hilarious reading the comments here talking about Payless and $39 shoes from the discount store. I know it's shocking to bargain basement shoppers but some people actually like premium things and also want to save money.

While this won't always be the case, premium shoes may also offer benefits in comfort and health, on top of looking better.

Buncha basement nerds who spend thousands on gaming rigs or Star Wars memorabilia, of course they'd downvote anything fashion related like luxury watches or iconic shoes, even if offered at a steep discount. SD is more than just "ooh is the graphics card able to handle 4K 60fps?" And more than just "Kohl's The Big One on sale for $5!" (of which I've bought a couple too btw). Value can be had and is appreciated by many at all price levels.

Nice find OP, wife ordered a couple of pairs, and I myself own several pairs of Brooks Bros Peal and Ferragamos, and we both have mid-level luxury watches (think Cartier). We both work in finance where yes, how you present yourself at high level pitch meetings is pretty important. Dress for the position you want, not the position you have. And fyi I spend a ton of time on SD looking for $50 deals as much as $5k deals.
My neighbor 3 doors down dresses and looks like a used car salesman, never seen him in anything expensive, even his suits look mid-range and he's the Chairman and CEO of a Fortune 50 company. He likes to go to cheap movie showing too in the evenings, sometimes we go on Friday evenings when he's in town. His wife drives a Suburban nothing fancy. Sometimes it's better to actually be good at the job than looking like you are good at it. Wink

We wife said she's going to get some just to prove you wrong, but then she just shook her head and went back to hanging her rewashed ziplock bags on the handles of kitchen utensils so they can dry. It's seriously impressive how many creative ways she can find to prop those things up!

I just had an epiphany about the whole red sole thing!

Flashing red soles is a blatant rip-off of nature's use of red as a mating signal. You know, like monkeys and stuff with red, ummmm, "cheeks".

It would be seriously more cost effective for the ladies who are considering these to just show their cheeks!

I asked my wife to show me hers for research purposes. She obliged, and I'm telling you, it's VERY effective. I gots to admit though, I am now wondering if she was actually trying to tell me it's time to hunt for a slick deal on TP.
