Thank God it is dead. It is worthless and I have no use for it, but was going to buy it anyhow.

I bought mine 1:40 PM EST. I ordered it before I did the research on it becase I have lost a bunch of good buys on things I wanted that were in my cart. They were gone from cart when I went back to proceed to checkout. If I decide I don't want it I could always cancel since it won't ship for 1-2 months.

It is certainly not a pocket knife but thought it would be good to carry in my backpack. I have thought about things in the past and have been glad too that the deal was dead as it made the choice for me. I buy very few things anymore and they are for camping and hiking only.

Personally, I'd rather have one with fewer tools. Yet this makes an impressive gift. It can be taken camping or just admired now and then. Aww crap... I bought one for me, too.

If you learn how to use it maybe you wouldn't operate it so poorly. I wouldn't recommend driving a nail into a board with it, but I'm sure someone has tried.

I wish I could agree with you but that's simply not the case. a $0.50 Phillips head screwdriver will do a better job with 99% of screws than this thing will for example. Other than being able to cut things with the regular blade and occasionally trim things with the scissors everything else is basically useless.

Obviously, the right tool for the job is always best. But the whole point of a swiss army knife is one tool that does many jobs. If I go camping or get lost in the woods, I'd rather take one swiss army knife than one screwdriver.

I guess QuaziArts already stole my reply. I would rather carry this than a toolbox full of the tools you say 'are better' than this. A cheap $0.50 screwdriver will strip out years before my Victorinox Swiss Army SwissChamp Pocket Knife will. In fact, I bought it around 1988. Still looks and functions perfectly. I can't say that for my cheap screwdrivers that lasted a few months and discarded. Take care of your knife, use it wisely and it will last you the rest of your life.Peace

If you get lost in the woods bring one good everyday knife because that's all you'll be able to use on the Swiss except it doesn't lock the blade so you risk injury trying to use it.. plus you'll have a 1 lb gadget in your pocket or pack that's mostly useless. It's a novelty, nothing else. The 3 or 4 function Swiss Army knives are perfect. Tweezers, pick, serrated, straight edge and scissors are all one can reasonable use and need on their person.

Like millions of other people, I have owned swiss army knives for decades. Personally used them more than a thousand times for numerous tasks. Currently: keychain, cars, tool box, tackle box, camera bag, golf bag, office, and more.

Please do more research before randomly commenting on something you are not familiar with. The main blade on this knife does come with a lock.
Also, in most occasion, it is more socially acceptable to carry the swiss army knife than a knife or, in your case, a screwdriver in your pocket.
