Do they do a hard pull of your credit for a new customer?
it's more about confirming you are who you say you are and have some address relationship with the install location and/or phone number. it's not about actual creditworthiness or even your employment since they will auto deduct the monthly from your checking.

1 year guaranteed - though can you cancel anytime without penalty?

Edit:

Also is there an install fee?

Edit Edit:
Seems like the $99 fee is waived if you order online. Though the website times out on me.

"New customer only". When you are not "New" and you don't over pay for your "Quad quad tripple play" than they screw you badly. I'm done with Verizon.

I have the gigabit plan, but can't ever get the advertised speeds. This deals seems decent, so i may drop them and come back.
You need a gigabit capable router and gigabit-capable ethernet network adapter to reach Verizon's optimal speeds.

I have fios gigabit plan and am able to get gigabit if I use ethernet. Wireless ac (5ghz) gives me 500mbps on my Gigabyte Aorus X470 gaming wifi 7 motherboard. Using ubiquiti edge router.

If you use trash routers and network adapters, expect trash results.

I live in an apartment building with other tenants who have FIOS. What sort of equipment do I need? I know there's a Verizon FIOS router, but is some sort of conversion box needed when it gets to the apartment before it plugs into the router? I'd only be ordering Internet - not TV and not phone.

I'm probably the last one to use this deal. Switched from me to another home member, saying current resident is moving out. Internet service overlaps with a few days, key factors are credit check on the new customer, and providing a debit card. Credit one entails a $10 surcharge, dont ask me why, this is another one of the verizon's idiosyncrasies.
Order is on hold pending a verification with a utility bill of the new subscriber. Bunch of hoops that you need to jump to get to 39.99. Maybe still worth it, They offered $50 for an year, which is $120 for the terms, plus $50 gift card, it makes a considerable price reduction.
I can't verify new email address for some reason with them....
