Seems like they created a solution to a very minor problem of 2 speaker wires. I mean I don't like wires and but you are willing to put up with what looks like a proprietary piece of tech that just sets off all my reliability alarms.

I have these and the advantage is portability. I get volunteered as a DJ and this is awesome for it. I just plug the speakers, receivers and laptop wherever there is power outlets and none of them tied by wires. After the party its easy to pack up.
For a permanent setup you might have better options.

Is sound quality compromised at all due to the wireless solution? I'm no audiophile, so maybe someone knows more

If this had 1 more HDMI out I'd be in. So close to a perfect product for my set up. As it stands, I'd have to have a receiver go into this hub, which adds cost and redundancy.

I wish it had two 4k inputs - it only has one, the rest are outdated 1080p inputs. So close....

No. Other than it won't do the top levels of audio mastering. It easily competes with speakers costing the same price as this sale. It will sound better than most at this price. If you were to pay $2500 you'd cry from disappointment.

Does 4k sound better or what's it for in audio

Question. If I connect the hub to the receiver in the basement. Can I put the speakers in the family room? I just want it mainly for music listening.

No decent DJ would be using home theather speakers.

Nothing is "in it" for audio. I have a 4k Blur Ray player and a 4K Shield streamer. I just need two, 4k inputs and this doesn't have it so I'd have to spend more to work around it.

Home theater speakers for DJ. Is this meant for commercial use?

I assume this means for small house parties. I've done this for some of my friends, and it usually just means bringing over my bluetooth speaker and smartphone. This would certainly a step beyond that, but I would hate to lug these around.
