Btw, most people won't like reading all those Terms & Conditions in your post.

EDIT: thanks for fixing

I believe it is the Razer blade basic model.

The usual basic model is the RZ09-02705E76-R3U1 and it's currently at 1599.
How is this model different though?

This is the usual basic model number..only difference is the last four digit MSU1,which lets Razer know it's a Microsoft unit 1,when/if you send it in for warranty work iirc ✌️

I see a lot of hate for Razer in the forums. Here's my situation.

I travel for a living. I'm a pilot that travels 3-4 days a week....every week. Every ounce and inch counts.

For the last three years I've been toting a Alienware 13 R2. It's chunky but has the 13.3 inch QHD+ (3200 x 1800) IPS-Panel TrueLife 400-nits Display, Core i7, 16 gigs of RAM and two SSDs. Great machine but getting a little slow.

I'm not a heavy action gamer at all. Mostly driving games and building games (City Skylines, Planet Coaster, Transport Fever). I want a small form factor computer that has a nice screen and keyboard.

Razer 15 seems to fit the requirements as the Alienware 13 has been discontinued.

My top picks are the Razer 15 or a Asus ROG GU501GM or another Alienware but the M15. Anyone know of another thin and light gaming that doesn't break the bank?

Honestly, except for the earliest Razers which had heat issues, they are fine laptops. People on SD just crap on them because they are so expensive, but they are still less expensive than macbooks and do their job well. People just look at the hardware stats and see it would cost half as much as the MSRP if they built a PC with similar specs but they forget about the small form factor (or usually just willfully ignore it).

That's a nice short list. If you are shopping around, I'd also look at the GIGABYTE Aero.

My biggest quam with Razer is their support. I read nightmare stories about people dealing with issues and very slow response times. I am an alienware/dell fan and anytime I have had an issue, they send a tech to my home or work to fix it. I will continue to buy their products due to this level of support.

A 1060 and 60Hz for 1300. Sure its thin and well built but still overpriced. Maybe good deal for people that travel a lot and need that gtx 1060 for work or something.

Triton 500 is slim with **2060** (not 2080) for $1800 on Amazon...

Pick up the 1070 version with 144Hz screen, GTX 1070 and 512 GB SSD for $300 more. Price has been updated on the high end model from $2399 to $1899 to $1599. Use your Citi card to extend the warranty for 2 additional years from manufacturers warranty.
