I've been scouting TV prices for close to a month now and this is the cheapest I've seen for a 49"-50" 4k TV. Hell, this particular model still goes for $280 refurbished. I'm surprised this hasn't been made a slick deal.
i got this BF week from amazon - 245 and tax, i felt like it was the best cheap-tv deal at the time for a 49 (there were some other good deals that week for 55s)
Total Before Tax:$245.54
Estimated Tax:$16.06
Order Total:$261.60

pretty hard to argue with the price. ebay says these are new in retail packaging.

Usually on the app you'll see it on the home screen. For example right now mine shows 8% up to 25$ or 6% no minimum

Edit: eBay app

I have the 43 inch version of this TV and it's a great bang for your buck. The picture is pretty nice but beware there is some backlight bleed when the picture is displaying something darker. I don't mind it much but it may be a deal breaker for some. I mainly use it in my bedroom for game consoles and for a 4k fire stick.

Can't believe how low prices have become for TVs recently. I think around 2013 or so I bought a 120 hz 1080p 50" for around $600 on black friday. Now you can get basically the same in 4k for $200 to $300. Insane.

no. at this price, they're all VA screens with shitty viewing angles.

You can get an LG with a shitty IPS panel, which will have wider viewing angles. but color sucks because it is an RGBW lcd panel

NOTE: Do not buy this if you're thinking of using it as a computer monitor--it has issues.

Instead, stick to the 43" TCL for that purpose.

I've been using this as a secondary monitor at work for about 10 months and have no complaints. I use it for video conferencing, terminal windows, spreadsheets, and coding (with scaling).

With Costco Credit Card , will have 4 years warranty 😉
Good luck getting it replaced in the last two years of the warranty. My TV recently went out and AMEX is asking me to find a authorized repair shop near me to diagnose the problem for an price estimate but they do not exist. I let them know today that I cannot find a repair shop locally and waiting to hear what they say.
