Good luck getting it replaced in the last two years of the warranty. My TV recently went out and AMEX is asking me to find a authorized repair shop near me to diagnose the problem for an price estimate but they do not exist. I let them know today that I cannot find a repair shop locally and waiting to hear what they say.
At this point Costco would either replace with similar or better model or issue you a refund.

I got this the 43 inch 43S425 from Costco $229 couple weeks ago to use it as the computer monitor and it's fantastic. It does support Chroma 444/60hz at 4K and does need slight tweaking in color but once calibrated it works great. 405/425 spec wise they are exactly the same tv, just different manufacture date. This is a great price for budget tv (if you don't mind the viewing angle as stated before).

It used to be AMEX, this was purchased before the switch. I'm sure the Citi will expect the same as AMEX.

You think so? I will gladly take it to the store if thats the case. I'm going to see what AMEX comes back with regarding the claim.

As I already noted, the 43" and 49" TCL TVs use different panels. The 49" has issues when used as a monitor. The 43" is a great budget 4k monitor.

With Costco Credit Card , will have 4 years warranty 😉
I thought that was only for TV's purchased at Costco? I know the Costco Citi (Visa) card has 2yr extended warranty after the 1 year Mfr. warranty runs out.

Hard to beat for the price, but it's definitely not competing against more expensive tv's in any meaningful way. Even after color balancing it's... not bad.

This year (2019 version) they have it exactly at 50 inches right? I wonder what the difference is between the new one and the old one (besides the inch) lol

This is 250 and the new version is 300 on Amazon right now
TCL 50S425 50 inch 4K Smart LED Roku TV (2019) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07JK98...KCb27FYP3J
Rtings says that besides minor cosmetic differences they don't expect any difference between the 405 and 425. https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/tcl/s-series-4k-s405-s425

I'm wondering how bad the viewing angles actually are.
l read on RTINGS that directly on is fine but from side anglez not so much.
How bad is this really though?

Also heard this was not a very bright screen, so preferably use it at night or in a darker room.

Awesome tv. Use this with my Xbox one x and looks awesome. All the Roku apps are fast as well. I have Ethernet going straight to it so I can't vouch for the WiFi. But tv is sick and definitely a steal
