FYI -

"The 860 QVO is still suitable for general-purpose consumer storage duty. It is slower than the 860 EVO, but the QVO is far from the slowest SATA SSD we've tested. Thanks to a combination of SLC caching and the SATA link bottleneck, the 860 QVO's behavior is often indistinguishable from other SATA SSDs. Based on benchmark results alone, it would be difficult to conclusively identify the QVO as a QLC-based drive, rather than just a relatively slow TLC drive. "

I think this is fine for people that don't have NVME slots since this is SATA no?

I keep waiting for a deal on the 860 EVO for my OS drive. Not sure this QVO can suffice.

Really wish my alert hadn't tripped and gotten my hopes up.
If you have a Citi card, you can get the 1TB 860 EVO for $100. I bought from B&H and price matched with a site I wouldn't trust actually buying from.

The AData 2tb ssd from last week was a great deal. I'm using it for my 24/7 plex box. Mostly runs hard to find shows for family members. So doesn't need to be lighting quick. I wish there was a deal on a 4tb QVO

You're comparing an NVMe to a 2.5 inch SATA. NVMe requires dedicated lanes. If all you have left to upgrade is a 2.5 inch bay, that Intel NVMe isn't going to be worth anything to you, whether it's 15% or 1500% faster.
