Does anybody know how 48 month is counted? I got my last card in sept but got bonus in dec 2016. Wondering if I can apply now or have to wait until Dec.

You're not eligible for the card unless it's been 48 months since you received your last bonus.

So you probably want to wait till January to be safe, but you'd need to wait till at least after whenever the bonus posted in December.

95 af is not waived for first year basically previously it was 50k with 95 waived first year now it's 60k with 95 af so pretty much the same
Also I'll get csr rather than csp if you spend 3400+ in travel, dining etc
What does af, csr, and csp mean?

The real smart move here is to get the CSP and then after a year upgrade to the CSR. Then redeem points for travel at the higher rate of 1.5 instead of 1.25. Assuming that you redeem for travel in the Chase portal.

AF = annual fee
CSR = Chase Sapphire Reserve
CSP = Chase Sapphire Preferred

Don't you pay $550 when you upgrade to CSR

You do, but there is the $300 travel credit so it's basically $200. If you spend enough money on travel a year (I think someone calculated before and if you spend around $4,000 a year on travel/dining) it's worth it over the CSP.

Does anybody have a better way to contact Chase other than the 1-800 customer service number?

I missed the points bonus by one day due to my car dealership not having power from the recent tropical storm and not being able to charge the card until today. I called the 1-800 number and they were completely unhelpful and unsympathetic.

Any ideas?
Your an IT guy asking for a Chase number on an internet forum? You will get a fraud line where you will inadvertently pass all your info to crooks. Didn't they teach you that at IT school?

You can still transfer points from freedom to CSP. You can get 1.25x value from Pay Yourself Back or travel through their portal.

Thanks! Is CSP still a good card if I am not into travels?

I would say no, it's good for the bonus and that's about it. There are better options if you're just into cashback.
