Steelseries has most of their headsets on sale right now, but the Arctis 7 is the best value in my opinion. I just grabbed one of these at Best Buy a few days ago for $129 and then realized that steelseries started a sale yesterday that includes a free storage bag. So I added the leather earpads for another $15 for a total of $119. No tax charged.

There are also some 10% and 12% coupon codes in you look around, but they won't apply to the sale prices.

Warning to everyone with a giant melon like I have. The metal band presses down on the top of my head when I wear it. Non-issue 5 minutes in, minor inconvenience 30 minutes in, headache city 1 hour in, everytime I use it. But as people have said, the overall quality of this thing is great if you don't have a big head.

Because Bluetooth isn't ideal for low latency, high-fidelity audio. Not certain what the solution on these is, but it's the best I've ever seen. They can maintain signal from anywhere in my house. Even from my bedroom which is upstairs, all the way into my basement. I don't know what magic makes them capable of keeping a crystal clear signal through two floors, but it's mighty impressive.

That said, I would only recommend these if you plan to get them for PC use only. Their out of the box sound profile is a bit weak and sadly the included software doesn't do a lot to adjust them, and that software is all you can use for consoles. But on PC, with Peace Equalizer and GUI you can really open these bad boys up and they really become quite decent. They actually compare quite favorably to my Beyerdynamic DT-1350's. There's things each one does better, and while overall the Beyerdynamics have slightly better sound quality, I think these have a better soundstage, and their tuned perfectly for picking out details like footsteps and gunfire.

They're also supremely comfortable. Like, as good as my old Audio-Technica ADH-900's comfortable. I loooove the material the cups are made out of. Never felt anything like it before but it's my favorite material hands down. To those who are complaining about them being too small, are you using the adjusted 2019 ones (which these are) which made them a bit bigger in both the band and the earcups? I mean, I have a pretty giant head and these things fit perfectly for me.

All in all, well worth this price. For a wireless headset with a plenty decent mic you can't go wrong.

"Leather" ear pads were necessary for me. The ones that came on it were not comfortable.

Great headset, though.

Second this. I've got the Velcro strap loosened as far as it'll go, and it's only barely big enough so the cups are comfortable on my ears.
Aside from that - stellar. Would buy again for sure if needed.

I'm torn between the HyperX Cloud Alpha's versus these...looked at both SteelSeries and HyperX and cannot make a decision. Any input from the gaming pros?

I had the same problem and ended up going with the Steel Series and do not regret my decision. The main reason i didn't get the HyperX was because i heard build quality and mic were not as good as the Arctis 7's but you do get a better fit with the HyperX. I have a fairly big head but so far I have been able to play for 2 to 3 hours straight and not have any problem.

Note that you can bend the metal a LOT if it is too tight.

Buy the Arctis 3. Yea, you have to plug the 3.5mm into your controller or computer, but you can actually use it for Bluetooth functionality (the 7 doesn't have that for some odd reason)

I own these for pc gaming and they are awesome. The only problem is the strap can make your head itch after a while since it's flattening down your hair and not the good for glasses users. The sound quality is still worth the discomfort

Massdrop easy - I originally bought these Steel Series, but ended up with the PC37x and am VERY pleased. The mic on the PC37x is fantastic, and the open-ended sound stage really helps with location in games (especially FPSs) and immersion in games and movies.

(If you do get the PC37x, a warning: a RealTek on-board sound chip or similar won't have enough oomph to power the microphone, it will sound very distorted or won't work at all, so a DAC/decent External sound card will be necessary to get these to work properly, BUT you will not be disappointed)
