VA panel
No freesync or g-sync
Tax in CA brings it to $277.55 shipped

This has been $10 cheaper in the past (Nov 2018) but otherwise has been out of stock. Very hard to find a 1440p 144hz panel without also paying for freesync, and being under $300.

Would've pulled the trigger right away if it had freesync (with a displayport) or gsync. Seems like a great deal if you don't want either of those things though.

Don't know why it was so difficult for Samsung to just include Freesync support for this monitor. It would've made this perfect...

It's weird they didn't since they do sell a panel to urlhasbeenblocked that has pretty much same specs with freesync. That does for 320 on Amazon.

Yeah, at these refresh rates you're really going to want freesync.

This looks like a great monitor for Xbox one X, to use at 1440p and 120hz.
The spec specifically call out this ability over the HDMI 2.0 port: http://downloadcenter.samsung.com...2A-Eng.pdf

I mean.. I have G-Sync. And many people have used 144 hz monitors before freesync and G-Sync were a thing. It's really not even -that- big of a deal IMO.

Ya I'm wondering the same thing. I have that urlhasbeenblocked monitor and it's pretty great. I wonder if this is a different panel? Still I think this would've been a great deal if it had freesync.

Yes and no. I have read many people say that you can only use Freesync with 60hz. You can't do Freesync and 120hz. So you don't need both.

DO NOT BUY DIRECTLY FROM SAMSUNG.

Please read before you dismiss this.

I have a brand new defective CHG70 monitor (LCD issue, green line running down the screen) and they flat out refuse to replace it, they want me to send it in to be repaired which if you Google can take months. Google Samsung customer service or repair and see how absolutely horrible it is. Before you call me a troll I'm on my 5th consecutive Samsung phone but it's the first time I've had a problem with their product.

It saved about $30 over Amazon but I think Amazon would have replaced the item without much fuss. Never again.
