I'll contemplate Moonlighter and Salt and Sanctuary at those prices, but I was hoping for a slightly steeper discount on most of these, especially donut county. Once I can get that for close to the ios price I'll bite, but not tell then.

My quick take on the ones I played (note, many I played on Vita/PS4):
  • Salt and Sanctuary - Probably my favorite game on the list, basically 2D Dark Souls, some weapon balancing issues, but well worth it
  • INSIDE - Great puzzle game with slight platformer mechanics although I personally preferred Limbo (same Dev)
  • Firewatch - Walking simulator, good story/setting, would recommend.
  • Night in the Woods - Adventure game, if you enjoyed Oxenfree, you'll probably like this.
  • Darkest Dungeon - Hard to explain the mechanics, fun albeit difficult game
  • Minit - Interesting gameplay loop, but I haven't finished it.
  • Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon - Modern take on Castlevania 3 (so a platformer, not a Metroidvania), well done even if you don't love the style, I enjoyed the platforming portion of The Messenger better
  • Thimbleweed Park - Traditional adventure game, couldn't get too into it
  • Iconoclasts - A Metroidvania, but this lost my interest early on, much better off with Axiom Verge

Doom.

But really, can't go wrong with Yoku but it might be a bit challenging control wise unless they already have a grasp.
Side note,
I'd buy Inside but it's been this price before and other platforms lower. I'm not buying til it goes lower in $$.

I'm open to any recommendations without the crappy pixelated graphics.
All pixel 8bit games need to have scanline or crt filters. Some games are a blocky mess.

I've been really into Cat Quest lately, and my kids (6 and 11) have enjoyed that game as well. Any recommendations based on that?

Iconoclasts is great. Excellent story to keep you going.

edit: it's also the 2nd highest rated game in the list, by metacritic

Thimbleweed Park and Night in the Woods were both great on PC. Check into those if you're unsure what to get.

Hard to pick 3 only, there are quite a few good ones. My recommendations would be
1) INSIDE
2) Night in the Woods
3) Darkest Dungeon

Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes is a good multiplayer game
I'm confused what gets included with Darkest Dungeon. Is it the Ancestrial Edition? Are any dlcs included?

INSIDE was a thrilling ride. But reply value isn't very high. Personally I got my money's worth paying $14 months ago.
