Acoustically, these are stunning... economically, they aren't cheap Smilie

Folded horns are complex to build, Klipsch pioneered the commercial version a long time back ('46) and this is that speaker. However, other speaker enthusiasts have attempted to recreate and come close on occasion. It's one hell of a lot of work to both tune and construct though, so buying is a WHOLE lot easier unless you're able to focus (OCD like) and mechanically inclined.

Well out of my budget, but I've heard them in person a couple times at high end audio stores and I've been impressed. $6,500 impressed? Nah, but impressed nevertheless.

Follow the link and read some of the page... there's a lot to these. They even include wall seals to improve low frequency response: read "they use your room as a speaker to improve on the insane 105db achievement"

The highly efficient horn drivers require little power to produce realistic soniics with chest pounding bass with the help of the folded horn designed Khorns. These are all better than much on the market today. Speakers are by nature defined one listener to another and as such very subjective. As an audiophile, the compressed music of today is convenient and far easier to reproduce and carry than years ago. It's easier to enjoy, not sonically better. You younger music lovers would never understand the joys of isolating a turntable on a 60lb slab of marble to reduce feedback produced from high Db listening to a tri-amped speaker system with subs, not to mention a 3DBX range expander to uncompress an album which was a Shefield Labs mastered disc.
They are big, they are from another era, but are amazing. Do not speak on a subject out of ignorance, understand there are things you may not know and benefit from the past, it brought you to the present..

I happen to own klipschorns, lascalas, and Cornwall's...bought them used...they are great speakers and were reasonable to buy used. To buy them new is expensive...they are extremely efficient and a 20 watt amp will do fine. If you have the room, worth owning...and yes tons of misinformation on this post about these speakers.

I see, i have some old Pioneer speakers that are "retro" that i would let go for $25 if any takers 😂 or 3k if you think they looks old enough 💆🏻 ♂️
LOL I think the reason for the high price is the audio engineering that Mr Klipsch did when he first created the Klipschorn. It's a unique design from what I understand

Lot's of fun but I miss what every day audio sounded like in the 70's and 80's. You have to spend some major bucks to reproduce that sound now.
