That's just a WiFi board. Buy it right now and buy the board when it comes out.

Would the Y7000 on BH be a better deal for the same price? Double the ram and HD.

It is an LG Philips LP156WF6 (LGD0540) panel. Color space coverage is good too at 86% sRGB and 56% AdobeRGB.

Might be. But the build quality on the Alienware is superior compared to y7000 plastic build. Alienware is thicker which helps in better heat dissipation. I personally would go for Alienware and upgrade the remaining components myself since ram and SSD prices are falling down.

Yes. They age well. I just love the build quality of Alienware. It is superior in every way. I don't mind the weight as long as I'm getting good temps.

86% sRGB actually seems pretty low especially at this price point.

Yeah, I collected the information from notebookcheck.net. But, I feel it is completely fine for gaming and movies though.

Wow, so many gaming choices here with Overpowered, Asus and this Alienware all around 1k to 1.1k at this reasonable price.

The chassis looks pretty cool, but those giant bezels are difficult to ignore... I don't think bezels should be a thing in $1,000+ devices...

With the launch of RTX laptops. The GTX series started to drop the price. But mobile RTX laptops are not worth the money though. They are slower compared to desktop counterparts due to the low clock speed. They crippled the performance. Better to grab GTX series now since they won't be manufactured anymore.
