Its not perfect, the graphics are good but not insanely fast, and in general Vega graphics drivers don't seem to be updated as often as their Intel counterparts. Otherwise I love this laptop, great build quality and keyboard especially.

But I'm just a stranger on the internet who may be a Chinese operative, and joined this website more than 10 years ago to play the long con recommending products Stick Out Tongue

I got one for my wife. I purchased the Acer Swift 3....Both are priced in the 600 range.. hands down the Matebook D has the better build. Better screen, better keyboard, better touchpad.

Might as well buy it on Microsoft's eBay store [ebay.com] if you're one of the folks who currently has 8%-10% back in eBay Bucks.

I have this too. The best laptop I have owned so far. Really clean design and only preinstalled thing is a driver manager that works pretty well.

This can handle light games and even fornite at low settings. I don't think there's any other laptop at this price point with weight and specs in consideration.

It was $299 in Walmart, but I waited for too long to pull the trigger. Now I'm unwilling to pay the same thing at a much higher price, although the price may still be decent.

I have the Intel/Nvidia variant, otherwise identical. Excellent build quality(nearly, but not quite, apple-level), good thermals, snappy performance (suprisingly as I use ram-intensive programs), and stunning battery life (8+ hours minimum with regular use). Only con is that the screen is a bit dim (but still reasonable at ~270nits), and is not color accurate enough for anything sensitive at all (but not noticeable by most).

Important notes: while dual-channel, the ram is soldered even on Ryzen.
Some SKUs of Ryzen model do not have fingerprint sensors.
Limited but useful port selection.
Metal slightly softer than pure aluminum, mine dented quite easily but was easy to repair.

Matebook?lol

this vs macbook pro?
I'll summarize my other comment here: build quality is quite close to the MacBook Pro but not quite there (light creaking, not unibody), but performance aside from the average display should be roughly on-par with the Pro for daily use.
