Absolutely terrible! Do not get those. I won a pair of those in a corporate lottery. The sound is ok and the good side ends here. When you connect them in stereo mode there is a 3-5 s lag between the source and the speakers. So, any video will have sound that is lagging by 5s. These turn off if there is no signal for more than 5 min and you have to turn them on again. As a stand alone they are ok, but never get them for stereo, unless you don't plan to use Bluetooth, in which case you can go for a much nicer wired speaker.

FYI these turn off automatically after about 5 minutes if it detects no sound coming through, so each time you turn on the TV you need to manually turn these on as well

No. IMO, Sonos' awesome Ecosystem doubles the value of any speaker system. The Sonos controller app is constantly improved. Once clunky, it is coming close to seamless integration of all your music services in one app. Spotify, Pandora, local music files, etc., with ability to save playlists in a single place. It still has room for improvement, but there is nothing close.

This is just a speaker. For music lovers, who listen to music throughout the house, Sonos is entirely something else.

How good are these? Was thinking of grabbing like 2-4 of them for the home. Was thinking 2 for the garage gym and then 1 or 2 for backyard parties this summer.

Can you connect them together? that they would play same thing trough all of them, or you use additional hardware?

I have one. Requires installing and maintaining their own app to set it up and function, their privacy policy is medieval. The Bluetooth connects well and sounds pretty good, but even though I also managed to set up the WiFi at one point it's extremely fickle and now I don't even bother and have to stick with Bluetooth. I have plenty of bluetooth speakers and paid $200 for this just to have Wi-Fi, so not too pleased with this arrangement.
