Very good deal. The Fuji jpegs straight out of camera are gorgeous. I set my color style to vivid for a little extra pop, especially on overcast days. Skin tone/color is spot on and attractive. Camera is built like a tank with excellent controls and gorgeous view finder. Focus is fast.

For about 100 more you can find a used X-T20 which would be much better.

I grabbed one today, but didn't realize it had the XC 16-50lens and have heard mixed reviews about it. If it shipped with the 18-55 it would be a score, but the price was good enough to give it a shot.

This was my exact thought. I have an A7RIII and A7III with all the goodies. But I always wanted a Fuji. For this price this a good camera to try. I'm hoping it's good enough to have with me in my car all the time.

However, I think its highly unlikely that it will ship with the 18-55 f2.8-4.

I'm also debating selling the 16-50 and getting 27mm f2.

Hmm I have been a long time Sony user and have had my A7mk2 for a while now and always find Fuji to be stylish and seems like good walk-around camera with great in-body jpg processing. Why would you leave it in the car if you don't mind me asking. I figure heat can't be good on camera gear long-term. I'm also not sure if I can justify given there isn't a lot of size advantage over the a7 series? I've considered a secondary when i dont want to lug the a7, like an RX100mk3 (or 4, used) or even an RX10mk1 used as I can see them being versatile and can use the same SONY app to transfer pics for quick social media sharing. I also have a Pixel 2 phone and pic quality is very good on it so I dunno if I can justify. Just curious on your conclusion hug

My logic is weird but here it is:
1) A7III + the cheapest lens I have is the 16-35 F4. That is about $2500 - 3000 value I wouldn't want to take with me to a party and leave it on the table and potential have is miss handled or have in my car if it got broken in and stolen. Basically, I have to constantly keep an eye out for. I want to have a decent camera with me wherever I go, It's just that my Sony kit while smaller than my old Nikon it's still quite large and heavy

2) I was looking at the RX100 III and the RX1, the RX100 is about the same price. While I have owned a RX100II before and plenty A6000 and NEX 7's in the past I wanted something different. They Fuji retro look really appeals to me and I always wanted to try to see what the fuss was all about. Apparently, the color science is superior to the older Sony gear.
I shoot a lot in manual and the RX100 is a pain to change all the settings.
The RX1 is way overpriced Even used is over $1000.
The A6000 is an amazing camera even though 5 years old but again I hate the ergonomics.
If Sony comes up with an A7000 that has the viewfinder in the middle and better controls i would be all over that.

3) The price for this deal is good enough to try. I'm sure if i don't like it I can either return it or turn around and eBay it for $400.

The Fuji should be delivered next week. I'm super excited about it and I want to love it. Like I mentioned before, if I like it, I plan on selling the kit lens and getting a Fuji prime.

I am also interested in hearing from the people who own this camera and how do they feel about it.

They have one with the 18-55 for $580. Pardon the newb question but what is so much better about this lens than the other? And is that a good deal?

Well, it looks like the package with the 16-50 has sold out.
The 18-55 lens is an F2.8 to F4 lens is a much superior lens.
It allows taking photos in dimly lit situations also allows for a narrower depth of field. That means what you can have more things out of focus in your photo. like the background.

Is $580 a good price for that body\lens combo?
