Price matches typically DO work in conjunction with BOGO/B2G1F sales at Target. Some employees may try and deny it as double dipping, but their system should apply the sale promotion automatically after any PM's still. It worked as recently as the B2G1F sale in February.

Sale prices to price match video games in this sale to (to make the deal more palatable):

Kingdom Hearts III (PS4/XB1) - $40 @ Gamestop as of 4/7
Spiderman - $39.99 - pretty much everywhere (Best Buy, Amazon, etc)

Bump up price to MSRP, offer bogo and sell it to us as a form of discount - oldest trick in the book. Apparently people still fall for it. Include first party Nintendo games then we'll talk. Target is easily the least competitive major retailer when it comes to gaming. Somehow worse than Walmart lol
It's still a discount. I've noticed that some of the prices have been hiked back to msrp because they were individually on sale before. Now it's in the form of bogo. But I know slick dealers, we want sales on top of sales!!! They're not in the business of catering to strictly slick dealers, they'll go out of business. LOL!

Target will price match Amazon! I just used this for Spider-Man ($34.98) and God of War ($29.99), older games I know but it still felt great to walk out the store with the BOGO offer.

I've priced matched the last couple of times they've done the B2G1F sales. It also works when they do one of those 'buy this pre-order card for $1, get 30% off a game' promos too. So the BOGO 50% off should indeed work with price matches for this promotion as well.

I even listed a couple of examples in the wiki on the first page of the thread.Wink

But they should be in the business of competing with their primary competition, which is my point.

The signs in electronics at my closest Target (Dickson City, PA) said the sale includes ALL video games.

I scanned a couple of games (KH 3 LE/CE, some other one) but didn't notice if it said BOGO 50% on the screen anywhere on the scanner.

So YMMV, but even online it seemed like this BOGO applied to ALL video games.

You're usually always better off buying from Amazon since Target sells at MSRP price for games. You should support your local game store if paying the MSRP price.
Target's website price matches Amazon's! It can just take a couple days to price match. I usually get games from target when the price drops since I have the redcard and a family member who works for target (employee discount). You always get free shipping with redcard too which is nice. I saw a post on here for new redcard holders that you can get $50 off $150+

Thanks for the info. I am going to see if I get approved in time. Then I gotta see if the code works with games, as they had a ton of stuff excluded from this discount. Fingers crossed.

Off topic, but cool avatar. The distorted face of the grinch makes me wonder if Dr Seuss wasn't behind the Trollface, Me Gusta, and other meme faces.

I got Spiderman and the Division 2 for $70 with red card. Great deal in my opinion. Spiderman $39.99. Division $49.99 ÷2= $25.00!

How do you get another 25% off??
Buy 2 games at buy one get one 50% off? The promotion is hard coded into the system, price matching doesn't alter it (unless they manually change it to undo the bogo50% off after the fact, but most guest service people don't care enough to do that).

You can always price match
This guy right here, and the ones who mentioned it below as well, are the true slick dealers.

Where others complain, Omar finds solutions.
