My Home Depot.com has Ryobi TSS102L 15-Amp 10" Sliding Miter Saw with Laser on sale for $129 w/ free store pickup where available - instead of the usual $219 price tag.

Probably that's part of their Spring Black Friday 2019 that is supposed to start on 4/4.

This is a pretty good deal..

Sliding miter saw gets you nicer cuts but you cal also cut a lot wider wood compared to one with this blade size that was fixed. I think most home owners would find this very suitable.

Remember: Most home owners do NOT need higher end consumer brands, you don't need a $300 miter saw. If you can afford it, if thats how much you spend on a pair of jeans and it's nothing then yes, get a nicer one but if you're a peasant like many here (bleaches eyes out to purify from the peasantry) then this is a great deal.

Also, yep the laser probably isn't fastastic but if you're using a laser for accurate cuts, then you need to rethink how you're woodworking.. I ALWAYS bring the blade down before I cut to make sure, it takes 2 seconds - no laser needed so if it sucks, who cares.

Good deal on a good saw. This should be more than sufficient for any homeowner uses. A good quality blade will improve it even more. For an inexpensive blade that is good, I like the Irwin Marples blades. Sometimes they run them on sale on Woot for even less as well.

It's hours away, why not just make it easy and wait until tomorrow?

How does this compare to the Porter Cable 10" saw from Lowes posted a couple weeks ago. That saw also folded up.

Thanks!

Sorry, no clue. I just know this saw has some very good reviews on youtube and has a large cutting capacity for a very low price.

Hmm. I've just about convinced myself that I only need a 10" without sliding (I have been and could continue to get by without one at all), but this is a pretty solid deal.
