I always buy gourmet dishware where I buy power tools.

I bought this and returned last time. Its a smooth finish, but they covered up particles and other imperfections under the white "coating" (sorry - not up to par on my dish terminology). We found them unacceptable and said we would continue looking. It really felt like a sturdy set though, just couldn't get past the attention to details on the finish itself. Every piece had something wrong - some had scratches you could feel, others had bubbles where the top coat popped and left the ceramic uncoated, and then there was the coating over "objects" issue.

Hope that helped? We really wanted the set - if it were only a piece or two we probably would have kept it.

I bought the square set last time around. Out of the 40 pieces there were a few small imperfections and 1 small chip. However, they feel substantial and look great in use. I would definitely buy them again. They aren't fine china but they are an attractive every day dinnerware set.

I bought these last time. They look really pretty and all, but it bothers me that the plate isn't entirely smooth for some (imperfections that I thought were stuck pieces of food).

The pictures look like a smooth texture... So I'm confused about the comments about the imperfections. Is that an intentional design choice or a defect in manufacturing, or maybe damage during transport?

Bought round set last time it was on sale at this price. For the price, quantity, and quality, it's excellent.

I have a set of white dinnerware from Ikea and they get marked up easily from utensils. Do these have that issue?

maybe it is my local home depot ( Folsom CA 95630 ) but they do a very poor job with in store pickup. I've done a handful of pickup in store orders and the time spent waiting in the store has ranged from 10 mins to over 25 mins.

My last order I gave up on after 25 mins and had them refund it because they could not seem to find the item, which online showed 10 in stock. I was in a hurry and gave up waiting.

These shouldn't. We were replacing our Ikea stuff with this before I returned them. The Ikea is almost like a stonewear finish, where this is a high gloss. You won't see the fork/knife marks on everything.

I usually go to the one on Sunrise or Arden, near work and home, and haven't had any issues. Picked up the folding scaffolding on a another Slickdeal a few weeks ago.

Got some last time around, it seems to be holding up so far for the most part. Only issue has been one of the small dishes cracking after the first wash, probably due to imperfections. Didn't feel like sending the entire box back for an exchange so I kept it as is and it's been fine since.
