Lowe's has several Hitachi power tools marked down in-store, most likely due to the rebranding going on. Hitachi power tools are in the process of rebranding to Metabo HPT. https://www.protoolreviews.com/news/hitachi-power-tools-become-metabo-hpt/36030/ [protoolreviews.com]

The "new" power tools have the same model numbers and are exactly the same besides the name change. All accessories and parts are still interchangeable. This may be a good time to either get some new tools or replace some old, used ones at a decent price. I've included the website and brickseek links for reference but some show a different price and/or OOS online despite my finding of them in two local Lowe's at the reduced in-store price, especially if you have either promo codes or are a veteran. I was able to get the router, which is usually $130-$150 for $90 after discount. This was the best deal of the bunch IMO. I've also included pictures of the in-store price tags. There may also be other tools on discount in other stores as well. These were just the ones I found locally. Good luck and happy woodworking.

Hitachi M12VC 2-1/4 HP Fixed Base Router - $99 In-Store
Shows $129.99 - OOS online

Hitachi branded - $158.88 - Amazon [amazon.com]
Metabo branded - $113.97 - Amazon [amazon.com]

Hitachi SV13YST 2.8-Amp Corded Orbital Sander - $39.98
https://www.lowes.com/pd/product/1000406583 - Expired
https://brickseek.com/lowes-inven...1000406583
Hitachi branded - $57 - Amazon [amazon.com]
Metabo branded - $50.97 - Amazon [amazon.com]

These two are almost a wash for the "new" branded versions but Amazon looks to be better if you can get the Hitachi branded tools still. The NT50AE2 was the nailer in the recent Big Sky Tool deal that a lot of people like. Again, if you can find any of these local, it may save you shipping time and money, especially if you have either promo codes or are a veteran.

NT50AE2 was on sale at one point for $40? I just remember I got mine REALLY cheap direct from Lowes.

I'd love to see NT65MA4 go on clearance. I think it is one of the only Hitachi guns I don't own at this point.

I used a "$20 off $100" coupon from eBay ($1.50 + instant email delivery) and paid $80+tax for the router. Works great!

Could you please provide a link to the $20 off $100?

Just search eBay for "20 off 100 Lowe's". They're everywhere. Come in packs of one two or three or more. Usually instant email delivery. Just check seller reputation first.

They have for me before.

Edit: You may also need to show you have Prime, though. Don't remember for certain but know many retailers do this.

Needing a plunge base. Does it sell separately for this model?

Not that I've seen. I know they have the KM12VC kit which comes with it but it appeared to still be normal price and was still located with the other routers and not grouped with the power tools on display in the aisle.

I bought the orbital sander. It was already rebranded to Metabo hpt. It was $39.98 and good price for a variable.

Did you get Reconditioned A or C at that price?

Showing up on amazon @ $72.50 for me currently, so this one may be dead. But shows @ $55 at some nearby Lowes.
