I tried using the coupon above calling into their 1800-466-3337 but, YMMV, because the rep told me flat out go to the store.
I have had luck with reps before being able to claim the coupon code over the phone.

I have the tools in the $89 combo and they are barely adequate. The blower really is only good for hard surfaces, and the trimmer has been disappointing.

I can't imagine how bad the $69 combo probably is.

Is this worth it for the batteries? If not, what's the best deal for getting cheap One+ batteries if you don't need the high capacity ones?

I've learned that you really need the better trimmer model. Yes they use the same batteries but the motors that are in the nicer versions of the trimmer are much better. I have had all the models of the cheapest trimmer that ryobi makes. Last year I got the nicer version of the trimmer and have been so much happier. I can't find the model number, but it is the one with the variable trigger. This was in a combo of blower, trimmer, and hedge trimmer.

Got this on black Friday or spring black Friday last year for the same price and ended up returning it. The trimmer worked great for quick maintenance around the house and also super light so my petite wife didn't mind using it. I almost kept it only for the trimmer but ended up returning it because the blower is basically useless

I wouldn't recommend this set. I got for Christmas as a gift and battery last 10 minutes and tools aren't powerful at all. Maybe if you live in a condo with very small yard it would work adequately otherwise put the money toward something else.

I got this kit 3 years ago. Idk why its getting so much hate here. For cookie cutter homes in cookie cutter neighborhoods this set is great. Trimmer does eat feed too fast imo, but works decently on small driveways. The blowers through has been the real winner for me. I use it all the time, its so convenient beyond grass trimmings. Its great for cleaning the deck, great at cleaning the snow off the cars on the driveways, great for blowing shredding fur off the dogs, etc. Again its $69, I didn't expect EGO performance. But if you're already in the ryobi ecosystem its nice basic yard tools if you have a small/normal suburban neighborhood yard.

Edit: I just realized... my answer is probably biased as I'm using the 4ah battery. I used the 2ah included but its too small for long use. I haven't used the set with the 2ah since I've gotten it. The 4ah+ batteries really wake this set up.

I agree, have them both and disappointed. Blower will be used in the garage, trimmer will be gotten rid of.

Looking at the specs, I don't think these would do the job compared to my gas trimmer and blower. Might be OK for a little townhome lawn, though.

My neighbor had this blower and returned it ... it was good for blowing GRASS off of his sidewalk or another hard surface BUT impossible to blow leaves or anything off of his lawn or anything not smooth .... it does NOT produce a very powerful wind at all ..

Stay away from this set. The trimmer is a single line and only comes out about 4 inches. Completely useless. The blower is very weak and will eat up a full battery in a few minutes. I ended up returning mine. If you want battery powered yard equipment, you're gonna have to spend a lot more than $70 for something decent.

I really need the string trimmer to cut grasses for my front yard and the blower for leaf cleanup. In for one. Thank you.
